Watch out for those Canadian sailors. Those boys party hard. I still get quezzy just thinking about all the beer I drank with a group for them back in the day. Great bunch of guys.

  16. Wife says, Oh heck yeah. After I install the new rear tires this week. Oh, there is that little problem called work. WE HATE WORK!
  17. Actually i was talking about the rear wheel pins being easy to do but taking some time to do it. As far as the swr I haven't tuned a CB since the early 80's, back when everyone had one in there truck or car. So if you bring your meter I'm sure it will get some use while at Don's.
  18. If your dealer can't do this maintenance on the rear wheel pins, I wouldn't go back there anymore. It is not a difficult thing to do. A little time consumming but not hard. Please do bring your SWR, I need to set my firestix also.
  19. All it takes is 10 bucks and a dream. You can't win if you don't play...Or is it, you can't play if you don't win??? Oh heck, just buy a ticket. It's for a good cause.
  20. Your local Yamaha dealer will have them. I get mine from lane Yamaha in Watkins Glen.
  21. Mother-in-law seat?
  22. :sign yeah that:Had the same problem when on 2 wheels. letting off the front brake just before you stop, rear brake will straighten you out.
  23. Eds,you said the battery is original. That makes it around 7 years old, even though it load tests ok, it is probably toast. At the dealership I work at we see a lot of batterys that load test ok but still prove to be bad. I would replace your battery. most batterys have a working life of around 5 years and much shorter for motorcycles because they get less use then a car battery. Letting a battery sit will shorten its life span.
  24. Just off the top of my head, cost for all parts which include springs, rings and seals was about $150.00. I change everything while I was in there. as for how hard is it to do. Well, the worse part is reinstalling the fairing. Take lots of pictures from all angles and every step of the removal. Rebuilding the forks isn't to bad. The fairing was a B*#ch. I did find out the hard way that I didn't have to remove as much as I did. If you do this, PM me before you start.
  25. Has any of you installed progressive fork springs on your trikes? I just finished this install, had to replace leaky seal. All I can say is WOW. It really helped the handling and I couldn't get the front end to dive if I drop a 1000lb weight on it. Before the install I had bad front end dive. what little shake it had before is gone. The steering also feels lighter. And it tracks straighter on crowned roads. Has anyone else done this mod?
