My payment went down , after I triked, the ins company's are catching on that the bike will not fall over anymore and saves them money. (Geico) I am at $23 a month full coverage for $26,000 and flat bed towing. I now also can take the bike off for the winter months (no driving it) but it is only $10 a month fully covered as well. The only thing that they will not pay for is the $1500 in labor to replace the rear trike part, otherwise everything is covered including my extras .

Had a tear in a diaphragm a few months back (replaced it) I have a picture someplace

I switched over last year to the Hornets and they work very well. I agree with the Caption. I live in the same situation as he does. just my opinion. As far as all my other vehicles we just lowered our comp to a $100 deductible cost is about $5 extra per month. that includes broken glass, deer hits etc. (Deer are rutting right now )

My update, I still have many cartridges left stored away I just love it. works fantastic. for the soap I just use Megiures (sp)? auto soap does a great job. I also a few months back I ordered two more still in the box sprayer starter kits from company that is not going to stock them anymore for like $6.99 each. Jeff

Yes you can. use a flat blade of some sort and work it off of the door, careful in not scratching the door. better if it is warm. like on a hot day , I have also use a low heat gun to warm the part up. the emblem is put on with gray 3M double sided tape. -
Cougar's Hannigan Headlight Adjustment Mod.
Cougar replied to Cougar's topic in Trike & Sidecar Talk
George, I have been wanting to ask you a Question.I had asked you why you had to take the entire rear end of the trike off to add the Aux gas tank. I am confused as why? why can it not still be connected to the front. I know the body must be removed and welding tabs has to be done. but still confused as why I need to remove the frame work to add the new tank? Thanks, Jeff -
Cougar's Hannigan Headlight Adjustment Mod.
Cougar replied to Cougar's topic in Trike & Sidecar Talk
For some reason after installing the false rear fender to attach the the rear seat and wire cable brackets , If you do not place them in the correct spot your wife will be (pushed) to far forward. (make since?) What I had to do was move the trunk back and relocate the passenger seat has well. now it seems to be back to were it was when we had 2 wheels. I think the location of the trunk was a huge factor. just an FYI while you are building. the back of my trunk over hanges the lip on the trike body now. I had to use rubber washers off a shock , you can buy them separately. to give the right height for the lip. Jeff -
Cougar's Hannigan Headlight Adjustment Mod.
Cougar replied to Cougar's topic in Trike & Sidecar Talk
Yep, Just as you described. mine seems to be good to go the since I did the mod. you might be able to get away with half the space on each washer die. maybe? The light housing will stick out from the fairing a bit with the mod, but I can at least see the road now. Also make sure you get that trunk of yours FAR back or the little woman will not fit right. I also had to do that MOD as well. -
` both seats as well.. great mod.

Have I told everybody how much I love Ride-On?

I think to much air in your trailer tires myself, I have had the piggy XL for about 4 years now and I have not had any issues with it like your talking about. I would also call tom at piggybacker and talk to him. he will do you right. I believe my tires are running about 20lbs. Jeff

Terry, I am a bit confused here. when Hannigan sends the kit to your dealer, the rake kit is inside the trunk directly from Hannigan. I also noticed that you live in KY, are you that far from Murry? I bet you have the correct rake on your trike. you will know once you have taken it out for about 50 miles. if your not tired after riding, then it is correct. Have many miles of fun on that bad boy. I know I have , its been a blast! STEER LITE (6 degree, reduced steering effort by approximately 60%) Jeff

A New Problem . Bogging Down Above 45/50
Cougar replied to Cougar's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
All good now! The Infected part (s) :detective:were BOTH Air Filter Housing Openings. Now the reason why is-- about 8 months ago I purchased BuddyRich's Wind Blockers and a lot of us were having problems with them coming loose. so the fix was to place a block of foam under the deflector and wedge it into/on-top of the air filter. (worked really well) I have been riding with them for most of the cold season and went to remove them last month and noticed that the blocks were gone as they kept creeping there way down to the air opening all this time the one's I used were black so I did not see this coming, and had just changed out the filters for new ones just before the wind blocker install. I figured they just fell out.. THEY fell out alright.. right into each air filter opening perfectly. this had to happen over time. the one picture that I show is the same for the other filter housing as well. I also just came back from a wonderful 30 mile ride and all is great even re-checked the plugs and there all clean with no more black soot on them. As far has Buddy's Wind Blockers , I will continue to use them as it has been a wonderful mod, BUT I will now glue the foam with household goop to the blocker for future use. (I just did not think of this happening /:whistling: stupid me) So any of you using them might want to consider gluing them in place. One other positive thing out of this finding was that I did find a bad Diaphragm that could have could a pretty bad problem in the future , kind of strange all this time how well the bike ran with one bad diaphragm in the carbs Here are the pics I just took of what I had found. Thanks for your support. -
