  1. Mine just some new Samson turn out pipes.
  2. Basically an old school way of checking for flatness when a surface plate and indicator are not usable or available. Not worth a dime.
  3. When you get done looking at all of those other hitches, check out CarbonOne's hitch. He sells them here in the classifieds. I went to his house and he built one right there and we installed it that night. He has them already made and ready to ship. Towed my trailer from Michigan to Colorado this summer with absolutely no issues. You can barely notice it without the ball in place. Well made at a decent price. I installed his passenger arm rests and Stebel horn bracket, also great products.
  4. I have been looking at this thing and mulling it over. I think I will just stick with my Sony MP3 player. I can set it to shuffle and never have to worry about it draining the battery or having to get into the trunk to turn it off. The guy has a good idea, he just needs to perfect it a bit more for my taste.
  5. Jay, you know Jeannie is going to be riding that trike on all future trips!! So, maybe two mp3 player units? One for you and one for her?
  6. It won't work. Arizona employed cameras on the freeways for speeders and at lights. Last I heard there were too many problems. Anyone here from AZ care to comment? Are they still using them? Colorado uses cameras for the toll collection. I was out there with three other bikes in August, some got the toll in the mail, I still have'nt. If it does actually work, I would think your bike would have to be pretty loud to trigger it.
  7. Eyes on the road, not on tv screen. Same goes for a cage.
  8. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50801&highlight=drilling+baffles Click on the link.
  9. Search the forum. This has been discussed alot before.
  10. Just Google Samson pipes and follow the links.
  11. If your going to Arizona...........I going with you. I worked out there 2 years ago and fell in love with it. Just can't get my wife to cut the strings here. Me.....I could leave and never come back. Way too may other place to live with a temperature I would enjoy more.
  12. It has already snowed here and salt has been put down. I would never ride my cherished ride on roads that have been salted. I would never buy a used bike that had been ran in the winter on salted roads either.
  13. I would not send them anything. He broke the bro code. You do not get involved with a friends ex. Ever.
  14. We did Pikes Peak this summer. 14,110 feet. Plenty high enough for me!!! NO GUARD RAILS!!!! I had no idea there were none! The only spot not paved, about a mile and a half long and not real close to the edge. Very cool ride, but a little white knuckled for me. But....I would do it again.
  15. Wish my whole holiday weekend could be deleted.
  16. I am very interested in see this. I just can't believe it draws that much juice to kill a battery in a week. The radio/clock draw a certain amount to maintain programmed stations and time, but I can leave my bike sit for weeks and not have a significant amount of drain. I would like to get this unit, even if I have to have a separate switch. But what happens when you turn off the power and then turn it back on? Any reprogramming or syncing? If so, I will pass.
  17. I did not see that. Where on the website does it state this?
  18. That is one "HOT" paint job! Me likes!!
  19. 2002 Nissan Xterra Supercharged SE 2007 Toyota 4 Runner I have had new GM, Ford and Chrysler products through the years. These two have been the best so far. Nissan has 192,000 miles and the Toyota has 79,000
  20. I know where your coming from Tom. I just took my wifes suv in two weeks ago for new treads. $800 and it does'nt look any differant than it did before. I too hate snow. slowly working on my wife to move out of Michigan to a more warmer climate. She is starting to "warm" up to the idea. I am pretty much done with this state and it's weather.
  21. It can't be a tiny drain if it is killing a battery after 4 or 5 days.
  22. I agree. Why would there be power to the unit when the key is off? Obviously there is if it drains the battery. I like the unit, but not if I have to install a separate switch. Kind of silly. Not a very well thought out unit. Makes me wonder about the quality.
  23. Congrats on finding the right bike for you. The Venture is not for everyone. BUT, why leave? I myself could care less what you ride, as long as you ride. Pay the $12 and hang around. Like you said, it's more about family than what you ride.
  24. June 2nd works for me. Does not really matter what date. I will be there regardless.
  25. You cannot use all of that space. The light unit overlaps atleast probably a quarter inch. I would wait until you actually get a bike, then split the fairing, remove the cassette deck and get a good measurement. Remember, before cutting......measure twice.....cut once.
