    Well I'll be 61 in 3 weeks, go in for back surgery next week, keep writing those checks my body doesn't want to cover, and feel like 37 on a good day.........

    OK, I finally had the time (work, family in from Norway, etc...) to try and figure out what was causing the problem. Checked fuses, electrical, fuel pump, etc. Someone on the forum or one of my riding buddies suggested changing the plugs before going too much further. Three of the four were toast, gunked, black, and unserviceable. Changed them out and it started right up. Guess I have not ridden enough lately to keep the gunk burned off. Glad that is all it was. Thanks for all you help and suggestions.

    I put one on my bike about 6 months ago, it delays the headlight about 20 seconds. Plenty of time to fire it up with low draw. However I am still having problems getting it to start, just spinns over. I haven't had time to really work on it. Heck of a deal when work gets in the way.......don't get me wrong I am glad I have work. But the delay/relay works fine.

    Everything works, engine spinns over but will not fire. Don't know where to look or what to look at for that matter. Shop said to bring it on in, we'll only charge you $85 to check it out.

    Grizz, whatever you end up doing (new locks, re-keyed) just get one key at first. Yamaha uses only one side of the key. Have the ignition cut on one side and the luggage cut on the other. Then you will have only one key that will open all your locks. Mark the side for the ignition and that will cut down on the guessing.

    how about a self-drilling pan head screw from the bottom, through the wall into the baffel lip to secure it.....just a thought

    I got mine several years ago (4) and worked directly with Morgan, great guy, great service, and a good product. Just used it on a friends bike this weekend and the improvement was immense.

    one of the main points of the quick-release knob head bolts is the original bolts are soft and after you take them off with whatever tool you use they will stripout and you have to purchase new bolts. With the QR this will not happen. Just my $0.05 (inflation) worth.

    With the case card they provided you (or should have) you shoul be able to see or get a copy of the file. However, different departments are set up differently, thjey may let you see it, they may charge you for the copies, or they may not let you see it at all. I know this vauge but thats how it is in some areas. I use to be able to get a copy of any case I wanted but not any more. See the PA for the agency.

    I was a 2 1/2 pack a day man (Salam Menthol - hooked on menthol). I got a health scare and put them down, that was in 1971 (when I was a meer child). Health problem turned out to be sinus related but I had already quit. Got cravings for 20 years but that finally went away.

    Can anyone send me a copy of the wiring diagram for the headlight (low/high switch feed) I have lent or lost my service manual. It's heck when you get old! Thanks in advance. Oh, just in case....it is for a second generation Venture

    I like the 2nd Gen design and everything everyone has said. If you have been reading the journels they are revamping the V-Max. THey need to add engine items that do not require retooling for the HP increase. They are talking 200+ when they revamp the Max engine. They could use the V-Max cams, valves, valve springs, and engine parts that would not cost them a thing to do. Also, make the rear tail lights running, turn, and brake. Just my nickles worth and thanks for what you are undertaking.
