They are a Great Tire!!! Switching to the front 130 is a good choice also. This year we put 5500 miles on trip out West and never a problem. We had Hot weather, and also pouring down rain, the Avon Venom's Reacted Great. I will Thank Squidley again for recommending them. Oh, I have over 8500 miles on this second set and the tire tread is still very good on front and back. Later-

Feel your pain Brother. Up here the economy is really tight, and no work in sight. Really soon I'm afraid I'll have to make that same decision, just waiting till the last minute. Wish I could help out, you know I would. Brad, give me a holler. Later-

Like JohnnyB, I have Fish Tails, only mine is from JC Whitney, and they are LOUD. There might be a whine problem but I don't hear it. Later-

Man that is so cool. I sure hope they change that cassett player to a 8 Track so I could dust off the box and remember when. Later-

Hey, Decided to use good ol common sense. Love to ride but, not worth taking a chance. After I wrote this post, I Rode down to where I purchased the Avons. Supplier said he would not ride them a long distance and is contacting Avon to see if he can get them replaced under warranty. Looks like I'm in a Cage for three weeks. Thanks for your help.

Hey, checking air in tires yesturday and just above the rim on Rear Tire all around it, there are cracks. Wide enough to put a finger nail in and some as long as 4". Last year I put on these Avons (Great Tires) and have 8000 miles. Tread is still excellent, but these cracks have me greatly conserned as I am supposed to leave tommorow on a trip for three weeks. Just wondering has anyone else had this problem and Are They Safe? Is this a Tire Defect? Thanks-

Thanks Joe and Lynn, Looking forward to meeting both of you. Class starts Monday morning on the 14th. I will ride down on Sunday, but the forcast does not look to promising, high of 40 here and 49 there, with rain/snow mix all day. I've rode in single digits many times, so the 40's are okay. Forcast shows it will be in the 60's mid week with sun. :cool10:It's Terrible, I have to go to all this trouble of starting a new job just to go for a ride. Talk to you next week, Later-

Congrads, excellent choice. Welcome again to our wonderful site with great people. Just remember not to shift it like a v-twin, wind her up a bit or she will buck you. Ride Safe and have Fun. Later- -
Going to Fort Wayne, Indiana for three weeks of job training. Staying at the Marriott Courtyard off exit 111b, Lima Road & I-69. Just wondering what the area is like and who is around there for a M & E? I was thinking of riding the RSV down and do some riding after class. Later-

Hey Charlie, thats what I like about you, stirring the pot again. But, no matter what Brad & Lonna buy they are Welcome at our house. The best thing about this site, is the Great People on it. Most of us do not care what others ride, just glad they ride. Later-

I have the Fishtail Pipes on mine also. Bought them thru JC Whitney three years ago. Unbaffled and loud, but deer here me and so do cagers. I am on my second pair of baffles trying to lower the sound down just a little. A set of quiet baffles will help, my Harley buds say there to loud when we they get up beside me. Later-

Hey dray, glad you was able to ride bud. I put on almost 400 miles last weekend. Beautiful weather, bikes everwhere downstate. Oh the second bike, must be and a antique. Later-James

Actually Don, your thinking is right on. As we speak, Harley is working on building a Touring model like the Ultra Classic with a liquid cooled engine. They will start out with a full dresser, and if sales are good, they will produce the liquid cooled engine onto other models. The delays of this new bike is because, they have not figured out how to duplicate the current sound in a liquid cooled engine. You know, potato, potato, potato, which is what Harley is known for. Harley truly believes that if the V-Rod would have had that potato sound, they would have sold thru the roof instead of slow sales. The reason Harley-Davidson says it is producing this new bike is to switch Metric owners over to Harley-Davidson. Expect to see this new edition from Harley by the 2011 model year. Later-

Hey Gary, really glad to see you riding again. Sure nice to seeing you at the Michigan M & E in Baycity. Later-

Peggy, I think you and mini are right about that tattoo. It should say "YAMA MAMA", that is, if you want one that is well respected. Later-
-
Hey Peggy & Ron, good luck with your choice. We have good friends that have gone to Harley and love the same bike and color your buying. I am not in charge of this site but, like dray said: you are now a lifetime member once you join. Just remember, if you see any Harley owners starting to throw rice under our RSV's, just remind them they may want to save it for oil leaks on there own. :rotf: But seriously, we wish you all the best, and please visit. Thank You Dick and Carol for being such wonderful host of this M & E. Charlene and I had a lot of fun spending time with everyone. Nice to see people driving as far as Canada and southern Michigan to come to this event. Glad to see Joe and Mike braved the cold to make us look like a motorcycle group. Later-
