I suckered into updating to 2008 from 2007. Lots of local additions here in Amarillo, that have been here for the last 3 years are still not on the map. Makes me wonder what do they update! My kids home and neighborhood purchased in 2004 are still not on the maps. I wouldn't take for the Zumo, but do feel I got ripped for the upgrade.

Paul, I got the 12" wheels on my Trailer, cut the axel down to 9" narrower and mounted the axel on the top side of the springs to lower it around 2". Makes it level when towing behind my Midnight.

Here in Amarillo was freezing drizzle all day Sunday, today has been rain but above freezing, should be plenty of ice tonight, and tomorrow.

Sargeb13: Do you have the make and model and where you got it. I would be interested in something like that for traveling. the C-Pap has really been a help to me, at times I have not taken it when I will be out for one or two nights and sure don't sleep well when I don't have it.

Hi Jack, good to hear from you again. I put Avon Venom MT90HB-16 on the front and 150/90HB-15 on the rear of mine. Sure do like them. If you are planning on having them mounted I think Forrest and Jerry have the right idea of checking with Sharps to see what you can get them for mounted and all. Probably will be the better deal.

The wife and I just got back last weekend from 8 days in Jacksonville. We went down to visit the Grandkids that moved there in August. Saw lots of bikes down there, especiall in the St Augustine area. Sure wish I had my Midnight down there to ride..... Maybe we can make it back in a few months and take the bike instead of flying.

I couldn't sign this in good faith. I agree there are plenty of people that are bad drivers. There are plenty of motorcycle riders that are bad drivers too. All accidents, especially where injuries or death is involved, should be evaluated based on the facts and charges filed accordingly and punishment decided by a jury. A blanket statement that says if you are involved in an accident where a motorcycle rider\passenger dies is prejudging. I have never witnessed a motorcycle accident happen but I have seen several near misses and some of those were the fault of the motorcycle rider. Anyone riding a motorcycle is at greater risk of being injured or being killed if involved in an accident simply due to the lack of protection surrounding them.

I ordered the tall, tinted w\vent 11 weeks ago today. I sent them an email last week asking what the hold up was as my original order stated delivery in 8 weeks due to a problem with some defective tinting on some of their product. I received an email mine would be shipped the next day, I got the shipment confirmation and the tracking on it shows it is to be delivered tomorrow (10\08\07)....... -
The Texas Lesgislatur passed a law effective Sept 1, drivers 85 and over have to pass a written and driving test to get their license renewed. I think it should have been 80 and over......

I hear ya Jerry, the burger I had didn't set too well on my stomach either. Guess we learn from experience huh? First time I can remember when there were Chips and salsa and not even half of them eaten, guess the grease wasn't that good on them.

Radio Shack has a 6 ft stereo cable with 1/8" jacks on each end. One goes in the ipod, the other in the Aux port in your tape deck. Turn on the Aux to hear it.

It comes with a car mount that plugs into the aux (cigarrete lighter) connection and a motorcycle mount and cable you can attach to battery power. The onboard battery is just for programming, etc while you are not connected.

Gene, I just ordered the Zumo 550 and am anxiously waiting it' arrival. I had been using the Garmin Streetpilot C530 and you could enter a destination and the GPS would route to it automatically. As far as I know I couldn't upload routes and didn't get any computerized mapping software with it. Will the Zumo 550 let you enter the destination from the screen or are you required to download trips from your PC? I am thinking you probably are loading stops, vias, etc from the PC and the Zumo will use that route when selected. I sure hope it will take the input and route on the fly as well. I appreciate the posts you made on getting it hooked up to use the phone and communications features of the Venture. I plan on getting that done too before long. Thanks,
