  1. Keep watching! I picked up a pair of MK2's a while back for around $30 in not to bad shape. As I mentioned before they will work on a MK1 but you have to fabricate some hangers for the mufflers. I'll be glad to give you full instructions if that is the route you decide to go..
  2. Hmmm, time to rebuild the hydraulics, eh??
  3. I personaly like the bike to have some sort of lean when I leave it as opposed to being upright just in case a big wind comes along or something and causes the bike to bo over the other way. Yes, I have seen it happen but with a lot lighter bike...
  4. We once stoped at the Tin Lizzie outside Bradford and it was a fun place, but nothing spectacular. The food was prety good though. Bradford is about an hour away for us, and we have been thru several times, so I'm gonna go check out your review right now...
  5. To answer your question about fitting, it should...
  6. I'm interested in upper and lower fairings, and possibly the trunk. Have you considered the possibility that what you are asking for the bike is too high?? I don't know the particulars such as mileage, condition, and asking price...
  7. ...and don't forget to hit the "save changes" button. Make sure the "don't use avitar" is unchecked. Select the "Use custom avitor" button.
  8. Glad to hear things are going good and you are recovering well!! Hope to see you at the Hub!!
  9. Yah, Ben, that's what I'm hoping for!! Today seems a little better and I'm sure I'll be ready to venture out in public in the next day or two without any fear of embarresing myself!! Waiting for the flood of puns from that last sentence...
  10. Yup! Got it and replied!!
  11. Use furniture polish such as Pledge on your windshield and it will act the same as rainex. I would rather ride a bike with a fairing in the rain than one without one myself, but rain gear is also a good thing to have...
  12. OK I'm home!!! They did a spinal on me, that was wierd feeling paralized from ther waist down. Surgery went off without any complications. Right now I am in a bit of discomfort and is painful urinating, which I have the urge to do every half hour it seems. Also, am very sleepy all day. I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!!
  13. Ahhhh!! Sounds like someone found out what Marvel Mystery Oil really is!! It serves as a decarbonizing agent on the valves and combustiuon area. It DOES work, sort of, but then again so does droplets of water which literally blasts off carbon deposits when added to the intake in the right ratio. That one is very hard to do and hardly ever used...
  14. Yah!! A thorough Seafoam job WILL gunk up a set of plugs if there is a lot of built up gunk in your fuel system!! While you are at it replace the wires and the screw in caps at the coil end as well! Chances are you still have ytour original wires...
  15. You could find a pair of the chrome solid inserts and install them in the warmer weather... But then again they go for a good buck on fleabay as well. I do have a pair in fair condition I may decide to part with.
  16. Two of 'em are even better...
  17. If you ever do a trip around Lake Erie let me know, I would love to see the bike in person!!
  18. Have to give you a maybe for Thursday or any day arrival, Skid. We want to come but there are sooo many variables such as when we get the bike back, how I'm feeling, weather, finances etc...
  19. Hey, how many motorcycles do YOU know of that have a personalized travelling case?!!?
  20. Thank you ALL for your prayers and kind words!!! I';m sure everything will be all right and I'll be back to normal (Whaterer THAT is!) in no time! Sure will be nice to be able to pee like a teenager again...
  21. Praise God he is OK, Monty!!! Sorry to hear about this and his other issues in life. Sometimes life downright sucks!! Wish I could help out somehow, but at least I can pray for him and encourage him to spend a little one on one time in prayer with Jesus... Hope everything turns out in the long run!
  22. Yup, nothing but speculation and dreams right now. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a new model Venture yet. Truth is, go out and find a bike you wil be happy with for many years because unless you are independantly wealthy you are going to be paying for it a long time!! Myself I'm paying the next 4 years. Hopefully I will be able to ride it again soon. Now, let the customizing begin...
  23. Sea Foam is a magic elixer that does wonders on cleaning out carbs, fuel systems, etc!! It is available at Auto Zone, Wally World, etc. It is like an industrial strength carb cleaner. There should be a website for them, try doing a gogle on Sea Foam products...
  24. Nothing serious, just the old enlarged prostrate problem. This is a very common problem among us "well experienced" gentlemen. They are going to do the old Star Wars light sabre thing on me, although they insist it's called green laser surgery! I will be back home Tuesday if all goes well. Then I get to enjoy the rest of the month off with pay. Now, if I just had a scoot that I could ride...
