  1. You may want to try unseating the multipin connector in the fairing, spray clean, and add dielectric grease to the connectors to see if that clears up the issue. This is actually a fairly common issue with 2nd gens...
  2. Unless it's really raining hard, we will be there!!
  3. I might add that there was a great turn out last year and this year should be even better!! I know of a few out of staters that will be there!! Having had to plan events myself, I can not stress enough how important it is to sign up, even if it is a maybe. Also if you can not attend post that on the calendar, all locals, because else wise we may expect you even if you don't sign up...
  4. Why, yes it is!! If you are coming across we may be late as Wizard765 is coming over in the afternoon, and I work until 4:30. Originally I was going to go over after work, but now I have to go home first.Sooo, as I was saying... Meet around 7 ish there!
  5. Yup! Facts and figures don't lie! Own both and KNOW 1st Gen (MK1) is faster...
  6. OK all you WNY Ice Cream Freaks, Hamburg DQ around 6 ish...
  7. OK typo!! Any time you LIKE... Rumple Minze for rumpled minds!!!
  8. Wizard765 tried all of that but the only way there was enough room in memory was to use extra via the SD card. I think there is a little more updating than just the maps though, I think that the extra features of the 660 are there as well...
  9. You may want to consider Fleabay for some good prices. I have been thinking about the newer Garmin, and if I had a good enough offer for mine, I may consider selling. BTW it has been professionally updated to 2010 maps but it cost me my SD slot...
  10. I think we are in store for some real entertainment!!! Now, this could be just some kind of Hollywood Plot" to make some more bucks out a perpetual drama, but it does make for a "Rest of the story" study in human charactor. Now maybe because of my age, but I lean slightly towards Sr. as far as who I am rooting for. Granted, Jr. has a very creative mind and does do some exceptional work, but as far as a work ethic, it reminds me of a lot of people I have personally known that blew it by working by their own standards and hours instead of what is accepted by the real world. Obviously there is a lot of emotional baggage between father and son. Paul Sr was a train wreck for the early part of his life until a serious event occurrd in his life to cause a complete change. That event was Paul Sr turning his life over to Jesus as savior and Lord, but of couse that does not make ANY person perfect, just frorgiven. I'm not sure either way abot Paul Jr. The bottom line is, Sr knows what went wrong, but is uncertain how to fix it but inside wants to. His personal pride, and bei g a parent may be stopping forward progress.. Paul Jr only knows what he has experienced so far in life but is lacking the wisdom that can only be learned thru time. Bottom line, I'm looking forward to the season when there is little else to do but watch tv...
  11. Don't worry, Boomer, BP won't be in business much longer... BONGO who says "Sell your BP stock while you still can..."
  12. Just because you are selling your scoot does NOT mean you have to leavde!!! Like Dano says, this is Hotel California, you can check any time you want out but you can NEVER leave..
  13. For one thing, the stock rear caliper mount arm. Sorry, mine is spoken for by a member who is removing HIS lowering kit... Ya know, after wheeling his bike around, if mine had that then Triking out my scoot may have been postponed a few years!
  14. We are in our 60's and this is the 2nd Venture we have owned. Still have the 1st gen and anothder 2nd gen project bike for whben I retire. Been riding on and off since I ws a teen, mostly rice burners...
  15. Excuse me for a moment, I must go rinse my eyes out with acid...
  16. Yup!! They are fine by me! Very satisfied with Daimond R!!
  17. Hmmmmm, I was just noticing a striking resemblence of Red Green and Marcarl...
  18. Yeah, Gunk, don't keep us in suspenders...
  19. According to his profile it's a RSV so I'm betting it's his driving lights but could be his turn signals...
  20. Dan, you need to fix and sell what you already have accumulated!! If your house moves but none of your vehicles do, you just might be a redneck...
  21. Unfortunately, I think I will be recovering from a hernia operation around that time...
  22. Unfortunately, the Canadians get raped for insurance rates...
  23. My impression of the Wing was nice power and looks but poor riding position. I myself prefer frame mounted fairing as I don't like loosing rear view visiion entering a turn. The one I was on seemed to have excessive plastic creaking sounds. Overall im,pression, very nice bike but I iked the RSV better for comfort. I still like my 1st gen MK1 better though. Now, if you can get over the looks issue, you may want to try out a Victory Vision...
  24. Do you mean the clear plastic ones?? Yup, I have a set for you! PM me your address...
