A tip for the vacume bleeders. I had a problem with the hose coming loose on the bleeder fitting. To make a "clamp" I cut a piece of rubber fuel line with the ID of the OD of the bleeder tube and slipped it over the bleeder hose to make a tigher fit. as a bonus it also keeps the hose from folding over and kinking. I change the fluids on all 53 range bikes every year and the mighty vac is a god send. Good luck Rod

That looks like an interesting setup. I would make sure I followed all the manufacturers recommendations. Tongue weight would be my big concern. Other than that I don't see why it would not work. Good luck Rod

Kevin (AKRefugee) came by the house today and we did carb sync using my old carb sticks. Neither one was too far off but our bikes are smoother now. Nice to see a MM and 2006 next to each other. I had a good day. Thanks Kevin ride safe Rod

A dealer here has a TDM on the floor for..............$4,980. I liked it enough to look but not at that price. It has around 4,500 miles on it. Rod

Thanks, the reason I asked is I have been loosing air pressure. I have the progressive air link on the front and run 5lbs most of the time, loose 2-3 lbs a month. My rear shock went south but I put 20ml of tranny fluid in it and put 40lbs of air (my normal amount) and it seems to be holding. I will see what happens in the long run but for now the pogoing is gone. Rod

How often do you need to put air in your shocks? Just wondering the average miles or time. Rod

We have taken the trip to Tombstone many times. It is a good long weekender for us. Bisby is a great town. If you get the time Cocholla sp? is a nice ride for the bike (not the RV). I like the North rim of the Grand Canyon best. Zion and Bryce are great if you have the time. Have fun Rod

I would check the frame if it was me. Make sure the neck is straight and not twisted or bent.Good luck Rod

Congadulations. Does he ride? Have him get a hold of me if he would like to ride or sight see or whatever. If he has taken the BRC with in 2 yrs he can ride on base if he has his card. If he needs the BRC it is free on base, but he needs to sign up for the class as soon a he can as there is a waiting list. I have an extra bike he can use. Rod

I teach the BRC and the ERC (teaching on base you use your own bike) with my Venture. What the others said on the other questions. Rod

The stud is molded in. I would drill it out or cut the seat pan and drive it out, then glue a new bolt in. Rod

Go to the auto parts store and get them, much cheaper. Look where they have the trailer lights. Two reflectors cost me around $8.00. Rod

My first guess would be plugged carburetor, did you disassemble the carbs or just run cleaner through? You could try a heavy dose of Seafoam or Berryman B12 in the gas. Have you checked the valve adjustment? Good luck Rod -
I like it a lot!!! Very nice job. I was looking for a batwing faring for my Virago. Rod

Plexiglass is easy to work with. Get 1/4" thick and and after cutting to shape heat to around 250-300 deg and you can bend it to any shape you want. U bolts will work for mounting but not real pretty. Good luck Rod

Sorry to hear about the accident. Good that you are OK. The bike can be replaced but you can't. Take it easy and heal quick. Rod
