  1. That was fantastic!!! Thank you so much Rod
  2. I got mine from ebay. He said that they came off a Valkyrie I think. They fit good.Rod
  3. I love the road king pipes stock. Plug the AIS and carb sync should take care of the popping. Re-jetting should not be necessary on our bikes. Rod
  4. Glad you are OK. Another example practice paying off. These bike can maneuver better than we relies but you have to have faith and practice. My Dad said never give up when things go wrong and I have gotten out of many bad situations by just not giving up. I have avoided crashing a couple of times by riding my Venture like a dirt bike when forced onto the shoulder. Ride safe Rod
  5. I have test road all of them but can't afford to have one in the stable. I realy like the Warrior and Stratoliner. A tech section is allways a good thing to me as I work on a lot of bikes. Take care Rod
  6. I tend to use a lower gear above 6000 ft. I do a lot of riding in the high mountains. I ride pretty aggressive and stay on the twistys as much as I can. Rod

Thanks to all you who helped me. With the help of wizard765 (Wayne) we found that the folder for the disk was older than the disk, old key newer disk. Now to reload and set everything up. Thanks again Rod

    win 2000 pro

I had to hook up my old floppy drive and reformat using dos. I tried the systen builder disk and got error message setupdd.sys could not load code 32768. Reloaded the xp disk and key not valid still. The disk is win xp servic pack 2 2002vers. Could these disks be for a prpriatory system (my vio disks only work on that laptop for example). I have tried another key and no go there either. Rod

    win 2000 pro

Thanks but my operating system is win 2000 pro and the XP disk will not do upgrade or repair. It wants to install a new operating system on the same drive. I guess I can go back into the BIOS and try to find the disk tool to format the drive from there, I was hoping there was a better way. Rod

    win 2000 pro

This is for you computer guys. I have been using win 2000 pro for years and never had a problem, no crashes or problems with any of my programs ever. The computer runs great but now the browsers and anti virus software does not work. I have an OEM XP disk. I want to up grade but can't get it to load. I tried to format from the bios but can't find the right menu. How do I get to the DOS promp to format the drive so I can re load the operating system or upgrade from the disk. I have backed up all my drives on an external hard drive. HELP Rod
  15. If it is hot and I am wearing my leathers I wet down my cloths and stay cool. I also have a cool vest that works very well. My mesh jacket is OK but it does not fit me very good (given to me by a friend that quit riding). I also drink a lot of water, Gatorade,or juice but not sodas or coffee. If you don't pee or your urine is dark you need to hydrate. Rod
  16. Another reason to ride the bike on trips. I hate to fly. Rod http://www.foxnews.com/travel/2012/03/05/confessions-former-tsa-agent/?intcmp=sem_outloud
  17. It was not a problem on mine. I still did not like the sound so went with RK pipes. Rod
  18. If the price was close I would go with block. It is much stronger and durable. Rod
  19. We get some high winds a lot on hwy 8 to and from the desert. Going too slow is the worst thing to do. You have to be able to adapt but generaly slow a bit and keep a stedy throttle works the best on all my bikes. Rod
  20. Put a dab of grease where the lever meets the plunger and oil the rest. Rod
  21. That would be a 750 or 1100. Check with viragotech.com to check the vin code. I know some big guys that ride the virago with no problems. Forward controls help to make it More comfortable. Rod
  22. I bought one and really liked it. It is the same a Suzuki SV 650 pretty much. Sole it because it was not comfortable for me. Had a blast when I road it. Rod
  23. Did you grease the lever where it meets the plunger? Flushing the fluid and cleaning the pistons would also help. That helped mine a lot. Rod
  24. check with dry cleaners that do alterations, that is what I do here in San Diego Rod
  25. Those things are great. A Honda mechanic friend of mine bought one for his wife, it is a ton of fun and will keep up with the bikes no problem. I would love to have one to run errands on because of the storage. Ride safe Rod
