Help, I was hit on 6-28-2010 and the responsible party's insurance has not done any thing yet. The claim agent is Andrea Doolittle from Portland Or, working for Chartis Ins who took over fron AIG. My medical bills are coming in and I have no insurance other than the San Diego VA. I do not want to take the Dr time from the Veterans in need. 10. I used liquid wrench on mine (99 Ranger) and had no problem. Make sure to keep the wrench square and tight on the plug. Good luck Rod
  11. I normally teach the ERC on my MM Venture, it was a challenge getting it right. I taught an ERC on Fri but had to use the Virago because my right shoulder is all tore up from the accident. If you are interested in doing a course check with the local MSF and get on the list. Most places will hold a class when they have enough students interested. Rod
  12. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/first-aid-heat-exhaustion/FA00020 Here is a link to first aid info. I allways carry lots of water and in the summer I have cool scarfs and vest in a plastic bag on the bike. I have been riding and had friends get over heated. Wetting them down works good to bring the core temp down. We freeze water bottles so have cold water all day. Rod
  13. Rod - When you say clean the pistons, do mean the outside of the piston or the top of the piston that seats to the BACK () of the pad? Both actualy, make sure everything is smooth with no ruff spots and lube the back of the pad. Rod
  14. Make sure your pistons are clean and put some brake pad grease on the back of the pads. Good luck Rod
  15. I spray it clean with WD 40 type oil then use a drop of 3 in 1 oil. Rod
  16. You can glue it from the inside. I got hit and it cracked across the bottom and after gluing has been good for years and many miles. Good luck Rod

  19. Well coming home from work yesterday at 4:15 I got t boned in my truck. The guy hit me hard enough to put me on two wheels. I have a 1995 Chev Z71 full sized 4 wheel drive, he has a full size van. I feel like ... umm well like I got hit by a truck this morning but not hurt too bad. For some reason the CHP did not waant me to get near the guy that hit me so I have to get the report to get the insurance for him. I have to go to the tow lot to get my tools out of the truck this morning; more $ in tools than the truck is worth. He came frome a side street and I never saw him till he hit me. Be careful out there Rod
  20. Good luck on the move. We are going to miss you here. It was nice riding with you. Rod
  21. Make sure to look for distortion on the sides of the bags. My wife over stuffed the bag and I had to have some one press hard on the latch while I squeezed the sides from various spots to get it open. If cutting is necessary the hinge pins would be my choice. Good luck Rod
