    Jesus, I know I am not the 1st person to wish you a Happy Birthday today, on the 2012th year of your birth. I also am not the 1st person to seek you out this day, there have been many before me that today have looked to you for guidance and comfort, and you have been there for them. I'm probably not the 1st biker to speak with you and wish you a Birthday greeting today. I may not be the first at a lot of things that pertain to you, on the day of your birth. I do want to be the 1st here, on this tiny website, full of people that follow you, know or try to know you, and some that are maybe interested in knowing you, to wish you that Happy Birthday. After all, it is you, the most recognized person in the entire world, who was given to us this day, so many years ago. You also gave yourself to us, to be our light and beacon on our path to being with our creator, Thank You for doing this. The sacrifice you made, for your father, to deal with satan for our souls, there are many that remember what you did, and are very thankful to you for doing it. I suppose what I'm really trying to say, is Thank You for this place, this website, to it's creator Don Nelson and his family that always opens up their home and their hearts to us, much like you do. Thank You for all the people that I have met here, who have touched my soul, and my heart and gave me some faith in humanity. My only wish, on this day of your birth, is that all the people whom I call friends here, the ones who enrich my life and put up with me. That you bless them and everyone on this planet on this day of your birth, because it's the best gift I can think of, to give them. We as humans, still hold some hope that we'll get it right one day, as we know you still believe in us. So Thank You Jesus, for being here for us, and Happy Birthday to you. I hope we can give you part of the present you really want, Peace for us down here.....

    I like a bit firmer suspension, I run 15 in the front and 45 to 50 in the rear. The max on the front is 21 and max on the rear is 75. I am 280 lbs and there is usually 15 lbs of "Stuff" in the bike.

    Yeah I know, it's the watering hole, but some of the 2nd genners might be able to help me with this also. I am looking for a right side upper fairing cover, the one that holds the speaker and right side components. It doesn't have to be perfect, but I'd like one that is all there. This '83 I'm playing with right now needs one in a bad way as it's pretty much all gone and broken. If any of you brothers can help me out I'd appreciate it

    That was my 1st '86 when I lived in Michigan, that pic was taken just south of the Bluewater Bridge in Port Huron about 20 miles from where I lived. I have another one just like it right now in the 2 tone brown color.

    I found that when I delinked the brakes I liked the feel better. I will try to upgrade the master cylinder like others have mentioned to the 14mm. Eventually I will change all the lines over to SS...glad your liking your new toy

    Luke, If it's gold and silver, and it's an '86, it's been repainted. The 2 stock colors in '86 were a 2 tone brown and a 2 tone black and gold. It sounds like a decent deal if all the plastic is in good shape. You have a lot of support there in Michigan as far as members being able to help you out with any repairs and such. Make sure you go ahead and do a basic tune up, plugs, wires, caps and a fuel filter. Flush and bleed all the brake and clutch lines with fresh brake fluid....looking forward to seeing the pics

    Thanks fellas, I did go online and look at some of them. I was looking at some kits, with 2 gun in them 1 for the primers and 1 for the top coats that have finer tips. For less than $300 I could get a Binks, Devilbiss or Sharpe (although I have never heard of Sharpe) This gives me an idea of what I'm looking to spend. Keep the info coming, can't have too much information, or thats what I have heard

    I believe that your '05 is the last year to have the studs on the seats. If I'm not mistaken the '06 had the pillow tops on it that didn't have the studs.
