  1. I've got one Gary, I'll send it up tomorrow with the other package.
  2. Ok, Now I know what you want, I believe I have one, but let me double check...
  3. Gary, Are you talking about the tube on the upper right side of the bike that the sensor for the temp gauge fits into? If you are I believe I have one on the '85 parts bike I have here. Let me know and I'll double check to be sure I do have it.

No I dont, was it in Mongomery just North of Houston? If I had the cash I was going to buy a red one like that and it was in Montgomery. The price was definitely right
  5. He's filling out nicely, great news to hear there Grandpa
  6. Happy New Year to you and all our members here, may 2013 be one of our best ones
  7. If everything lights up and stations show that they are changing, you have a speaker wire issue or the change over from headset to speakers is malfunctioning. If you had a blown fuse nothing on the system would work. I have never heard of anyone just loosing the speakers, and the rest of the system is apparently working (there is always a 1st time though) I would 2nd checking that all the pins in the plugs are connected securely together.
  8. Thank you for your diligence Joe, may you be able to rest in peace and God be with your family.

  15. Luke, I dont know if you knew about this kit in the classifieds http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3878&title=first-gens-sbrake-line-delink-kit-21&cat=22 Here is something to keep in mind, when I changed my front brakes over, I ran into an issue with the banjo bolts, here's a link to a write up I did. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=65356 If you run into issues give me a call, my # is in my profile. "On the rear master, I removed line going to front end and plugged this port. Also required is to open the proportioning valve on the rear master and remove the spring, cup and plunger. This provides a clear path for fluid to travel while not needing to change rear brake hose. Picture attached of gutted parts. Leave gutted proportioning valve on master cyl." Thats a great idea Gary, I never even thought about that. I'm going to do this on my '86 as I have delinked the brakes on it.

The doors always open, you know that, if you want to stay for 3 months, you can do that too. I think y'all need a break, Lilly can come along too. If she's still in the chew phase, I have some trees down in the yard to keep her busy indefinitely
  17. They are all 3 very fine machines, if I'm not mistaken the VTX doesn't have an air suspension on it. The RSV is a good deal heavier than the other 2 with all the fairings and such on it. The Vtwin on the VTX is smooth, but not smoother than the V4 in the Yamahas. Depending on what you want to do with the machine, will dictate which one you want. The VTX would be great for around town and small trips. The V twin is very torquey and has good power. It's also more low slung in the gravity so a bit easier to toss around. For longer trips or 2 up, the RSV hands down for comfort, the RSTD is also a good one for long trips. I know several folks here on this site that have taken theirs all over the country without a hickup....

Actually, this is a diabolical trick against Tommy. You see, if I fire him up enough, maybe even mad enough to come and want to sock me in the nose, he and Vicky will make it to Texas. Then you see it will be nice and warm and still have green on the trees, he'll forget all about the sock in the nose and we'll have a nice visit....problem solved

Carl, Your more than welcome my friend, I tried really hard for it to be in the liquid form when it got to you, but unfortunately someone in Canada, I dont know who, decided they wanted to add frigid air with it. By gumshoe that same person is trying to get that cold Canadian air down here to Texas! why the nerve of that guy
