It takes a little bit, as the fan doesn't come on until around 215 degrees F. As said, leave it on the sidestand, and give it some RPMs. Shine a flashlight in there from the left side, and you should see it come on after it gets hot enough.

Actually, I bought some angle aluminum from Lowe's, and made a frame. I then mounted it to the trailer, and used a sheet of steel for the "floor". It was kind of crude, as I built it in a hurry, and I don't have a tig welder, or any metalworking tools, but it doesn't look too bad, and it worked great. Lowe's sells all kinds of steel and aluminum in different lengths.

Does the stator wire connector look kinda burnt and yellow? A common fix on here, is to cut that plug off, and solder the 3 wires for a solid connection. That plug is a very well known issue with these bikes.

Wish I knew you were there, so I coulda formally met ya. I do plan on actually sending you some Pepsi and pickle chips this time. There might be a 6 pack...5 Pepsi's and one of "something else". It'll be in a Pepsi bottle, but it'll be marked.

Glad you made it home safe. I enjoyed meeting and talking with you at the hotel. I know my wife had a good time chatting with Beer 24/7. I think they both have the same gift of gab.

We have lots of Mennonites around here too. They own several businesses. They used to only drive black vehicles, but they realized that repainting all of the cars black lowered their resale value, so they drive all different color vehicles now. Some of them have to move to other areas such as Ohio or Pennsylvania, as they do a lot of inbreeding, and they have to mix it up now and then, or they start having problems. Families will move around to keep "new blood" in the gene pool. They do drink alot too.
