  1. Family get together yesterday. Called my wife when I picked up the bike and hack and asked where the camera was. "In my car, I had to show the girls at work the pictures of our family". So you can wait till tomorrow, I guess. That is the best excuse I can come up with, but unlike Yammer Dan I can take a picture and download it.
  2. If I can get used to it that quickly. I am picking it up about ten this morning with a trailer. See you tomorrow, Mike.
  3. Thanks, but not wide enough. Bike and car is out to out 76". I will come up with a solution.
  4. I would like to, but I really need some time to get used to this setup. I told Uwe not to do the electrical since I needed to do this at the same time I add the trailer connection for the trailer I bought to go along with this road machine for two or three. Thanks for the offer and we do need to get together.
  5. Worth every penny! By the way Larry, I have put a sidecar on my 02 RSMV (Sylvester). You need to come up with a lift adapter to lift the whole thing.
  6. Now that is just not fair. I clearly stated that I would pick it up on Monday and already the "Where are the pics?" starts. I may not post them when I get the machine back since you all are being so rude. I may even go to Canada with the bike and never come back. That would teach you. Maybe Mexico. I could mount a mini thirty on the car and act like Pancho Villa. Probably I will just post the pics Monday...
  7. Got a call yesterday afternoon from Uwe at UNB Customs in Denver, NC. My sidecar conversin is ready to pick up on Monday. The used sidecar became a mini nightmare. Originally it was connected to a HD Ultra and Uwe had to order the correct attachment arms. This was four weeks ago. Hannigan sent the wrong kit a week later, and it took another week to get the right kit. Uwe assembled the kit to find out that the attachment clips to the bike were wrong. Another week goes by and the clips come in. Uwe hooks these up and WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENS? The bolts on the upper attachment require one left hand thread and one right hand thread, they sent two right hand threaded bolts. But all is right with the world now. Plenty of time this winter to get used to this set up.
  8. It would be great if you had a volt meter. I try to manage my usage on the vest/jacket since they draw a lot of juice (65+watts). I also keep my passing lights off when using the heat. The gloves are not such a problem. I don't have leg or foot heat so I can't comment on that. I only ride alone in the cold since my wife is allergic to the cold. PS: Watch out for wet leaves and be safe.
  9. I don't get IT either but if I did get IT, IT would be wonderful!
  10. Honda has a five point star metal plus rubber washer for their mounts. I advise looking into these since they spread the weight over a larger area, thus protecting you trunk lid.
  11. Call David Hannigan and let him know of your frustrations.
  12. Breaking my bubble!
  13. Maybe Yammer Dan would be interested in a flush mount lift. :whistling:
  14. If you don't buy it, let me know. I have an 02 Midnight and have put 150,000 miles on it without a problem. I am putting a sidecar on this one and really need a two wheel ride for me.
  15. I use the gloves much more than the jacket (I have a heated jacket). Rarely need the jacket other than the early morning cool. You need to manage usage by moderate use of the vest (it pulls more wattage than the gloves).
  16. Very cute. I like the titty titty bang bang the best.
  17. Like I care. These are low life and I can not get up with there plite. I hope the innocents don't get caught up in the frackas. I dealt with the Hells Angels as a deputy in Nebraska many years ago, and there is where I leave it.
  18. OH hell. I did not need this to happen in my world. Prayers are North bound and I pray that Dan will overcome this tragedy. I wish all of his family the best.
  19. I have an original Hopnell tank bib that had the pocket. I had a leather crafter make the same size in saddle leather and had the pocket removed from the Hopnell and sewn on the saddle leather. I still have the Hopnell and it can be duplicated in other forms.
  20. How about a picture? It would sure help.
  21. I maintain an 8500 watt generator for my small farm and check it every fall before winter sets in. I buy on the cheap end and usually get a number of years of service. If it fails the fall test it goes to scrap and I get another. I try to buy at Harbor Freight since you can buy the warranty and take it back in twenty three months and get a new one. I have not done this with generators since my old one is still running fine, but I have done this deal with a number of other tools and it works. I have a three ton floor jack that I will return next March and get a new one. I had a job compressor that I take to work when I have a remodel project; it started acting up and I took it back. They did not have one as large so they refunded all my money ($159.00). Two months later they had the same compressor for sale at $89.00. You know what I have now for use!
  22. Yes unplug the cassette. All will function as normal if everything else is in good shape. Taking the whole thing out is not a problem. There are threads on this in the tech articles. Many of us have taken this out and installed gauges where the door used to be. The fellow that came up with the ultimate system is sadly in the hospital and may never make the kits again. I hope this is not the case, but our friend, Ponch, is healing and we don't know about his final recovery.
  23. Count me in on the donation, and I WILL make it next year. I had high hopes last June but work got in the way. I will be able to show off Sylvester and the Hannigan sidecar, I hope. Keep on getting better Ponch.
  24. Jeff, There is a distinct difference in gravel based on location and quarry. I rode and still ride gravel, first in Nebraska and Iowa and now in North Carolina. I have no problem with it. I have ridden gravel in Arkansas and Missouri and it scared the p@@p out of me. I wish you well with your tire selection.
