  1. ClearAlternative Products are good. I've used them in my Vulcan for clear lens and they are just as great looking as the OEM.
  2. Congrats, Danimal. Glad you were able to replace the plugs. Now I also have a good idea on how to remove those two front plugs. I really thought that all I need is to remove the 'Dog-Bone', but it sounds like I will also have to loosed the tank a little bit. A very important tip for me to remember as well...blow out the dirt before removing the plug wires and spark plug (I tend to forget this step). Regards.
  3. lol...Yes, I think we should get something from Custom Dynamics (CD). When I installed my LED's, it took me a little over an hour including installing the signal stabilizer. I admit, I spent more time trying to figure out what the correct orientation of the LED board should sit in the signal casing with the help of my 8 year old son as my 3rd and 4th hand. The rear LED board took me 3 minutes to install.... I recommended the LED clusters and LED rear light to my co-worker who owns an RSTD and stated that his order is on the way. Regards and Ride Safe.
  4. Sure does sound very strange. Perhaps routinely check your idle speed at recommended intervals. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Didn't have to do it on my end...I just have to find the right orientation on the lights and it slides right in. Glad you got it properly seated...enjoy the brightness. Regards.
  6. Congrats, Shot. Glad to hear that she enjoyed the ride. On this side, my son is looking forward to get some ride time with me. I told him we are going to get 2 Nolan 103's with headsets and he is really looking forward to it. Now I need to get him a small leather jacket to match... our attire. Ride Safe.
  7. I almost sold my Craftsman Professional Bike Lift until I read about this adapter. Now, my bike lift is getting a lot of use with the adapter. Trully a great product for Venture owners.
  8. I installed my Sig. Stabilizer under my seat just slightly on the rear side of the battery. I secured it with plastic tie wraps and it is not going anywhere. As for wire colors, yes, it is straightforward and the wire colors are exact. With the supplied posi-tap (don't know if I got the term right), it makes connecting wires easy and 100% full contact. Hope that helps. Have fun with your installation.
  9. I am amazed that such product do exist specially for dogs. However, I have not heard of any specific dog helmet...hopefully Arai and Nolan is reading this thread.
  10. I would use a microfiber cloth available at Walmart and your choice of cleaner. I have been using Kawi's 'Wipe Down' for a long time and it works great all around the bike. Oh yes, Pledge does wonders and it really works great on windshields.
  11. Your Chihuahua must be also having a blast riding. Your dog is very lucky.
  12. I just put in 10W40 Valvoline Moto oil and it is my oil all year round. You can use 10W30 per the owner's manual with no problems.
  13. I also have one and bought it used from a forum member. The jack adapter really has to be snug. As mentioned before, have all the tabs lines up and the bar should slide right through. Sometimes, you will have to go on the right side or have an assistant push the adapter upwards to get it lined up. If unsuccessful, Carbon One should be able to work something out for you. Good Luck.
  14. Hang in there Ozark. I hope you and thousands of your neighbors will have power back on. Stay warm. Regards.
  15. I am really scared to hit the rev limiter range. My engine might explode.
  16. She is definitely a keeper.
  17. Congrats on the new beast! Enjoy the power of Yamaha. Ride safe.
  18. My Venture is filled almost to the full mark and I don't accelerate hard enough to the point that I may reach the rev limiter mark. So far, no oil coming out of the vents. I'm just a little over 2K miles and hated the month of January in terms of being able to ride due to the weather.
  19. The next time you go to your local gym, don't forget to do 'Squat' exercises. It really work the buns:Bunny:.
  20. From what I read, simply adding enough oil to the almost full level may take care of the problem.
  21. Quite surprised on this end too. Me at 5'5", I can almost flat foot my Venture, but I can live with it with no lowering mods. Some say that the rear may cause some erratic handling of the bike, when lowered on the rear. At any rate, I do have the Baron's lowering kit for the Venture FOR SALE still in its unopened package. PM me for details, if you are interested
  22. I am not sure why you would like to bypass the cooling fan. Unless you are having heat issues thus causing your bike to run poor, I personally would not recommend doing this. Perhaps just replace sensors or thermostat at a regular basis and let the system work as it is intended to be.
  23. I don't know a whole lot of nice routes in PA, but with the help of my new Garmin I don't have to worry about getting lost. I can't wait for Spring and Summer.
  24. Good news for LED Clusters owners, Custom Dynamics website indicate DOT approval on the clusters...I feel good now:cool10:. http://www.customdynamics.com/genesis_led_turns_signals_dot_approved.htm
  25. +1. Too expensive for some of them, but then the quality might be far superior than the cheaper kinds.
