  1. Now that I am certain that I will need SpeedBleeder part # SB8125 (Qty:2) for the Rear Caliper and Clutch and SB7100 (Qty:2) for the Front Calipers, I went ahead and placed the order. For my coolant, I've been reading more about coolant replacement in the forum lately. Can someone point out where the drain plug is on my '07? I see a square bolt just underneathe the water pump area...? Pic will definitely help. Looking at the bike, the only way to get to that coolant cap is to remove the tank (Right?).
  2. I have synched my carb twice now. Everytime I synch the carbs, it is done at idle...but I do rev the engine time to time as I tweak the Carbtune to make it perfect.
  3. I say WW. As long as you can keep up cleaning the WW...with the amount of riding you are going to do, you should be set.
  4. Yesterday, I spent most of the morning Changing Oil, Oil Filter and Gear Oil. Everything went smoothly. I also Synched my Carbs and adjusted my idle to 1000 rpm. Carbs did not look too much out of Synch except for the right rear which was a little off...I then tweaked the settings a little bit to make it almost perfect for all four Carbs. Next in line....Clutch Fluid and Brake Fluid replacement. Ride Safe.
  5. Congrats to the new owners of an '09 Venture. It won't be long, they will pop up in this forum.
  6. Thanks for making this clear for us who have never done this kind of maintenance on our Venture. I will make sure that I grease all splines with Honda Moly60 grease.
  7. Possible it could be the fuse. Verify voltage on the 12V plug using a multimeter.
  8. What is this 'Chunk' you guys are referring to?
  9. Negative. According to 'Squeeze', we shall need only one (1) seal if it breaks.
  10. Sometimes one may think that the BatteryMinder is connected, but it may possibly not making a good contact on the post. How old is the battery?
  11. Great information! I am referencing the old number with the new part #. Thanks.
  12. Very nice site. Thanks for the link.
  13. Squeeze, Thanks for your input.
  14. I may check my shifter bolts, saddle bag bolts, etc. tonight. Thanks for the heads up.
  15. It may be a good idea to add Lithium Soap on the seal before installation...not sure(?). Somebody mentioned that the spline that attaches to the 'pumpkin' does not need to be lubed with Honda Moly60 since it is lubed by the drive shaft gear oil. Is this accurate or not?
  16. So for the seal, do I need (2) for the front and rear spline area?
  17. Sounds like this seal may break upon disassembly of the drive shaft. Are the seal on both ends of the Drive Shaft? Do you have a part number that I can order before I start taking my shaft apart in a few months?
  18. I work at a facility that manufactures Diagnostic equipment for healthcare use and DI water is abundant. I agree, it is a good idea to use DI water in the cooling system to prevent rust build up internally. Did a search on Speed Bleeders. I may go ahead and order Two (2) SB8125; 1 for the Rear Caliper and 1 for the Clutch (not sure of the term) and Two (2) SB7100 for the Front Calipers. I hope I got the part numbers correct for my '07 Venture.
  19. I am looking in the maintenance manual, but could not find the page. What Chapter? The large plug under the water pump...is thos towards the right side of the engine?
  20. I was just wondering why a seal was broken...?? Looking at 7-78 of the Maintenance Manual, I see now why the Rear Wheel has to come off......if I am not mistaken the Speedometer Sensor has to come off and then pull on Final Gear Assembly to expose the Drive Shaft after removing 4 bolts (Right?).
  21. You just made me hungry after looking at the pic. Next time, easy on the cheese.
  22. Glad to hear that they caught the bad guys. They sure made the time to travel far away (>60 miles) away from home.
  23. It is hard to go wrong with Vance and Hines. Start on a look out for the brown truck. Let us know how it sounds.
  24. That is exactly what I put in my cars and the same size bottle is available at our local Autozone store here in SE PA. Thanks, Squidely.
  25. Yes, that is all you need...one (1) Signal Stabilizer to take care of the Front and Rear. I installed mine under the seat.
