  2. NOT seeing Sale Price. I will call and "edit" what they say. 800# and rep first says the Sale was over. I say I have a flyer says Sale is June 12-13-14 he says please hold...then says retail In Store price only. Asked about Raincheck if out of stock? He says depends on inventory at time you inquire at the store only. Called Store and of course they have non in stock and no raincheck and check back with them in 3 weeks. Called HF order # pressed 1 for cc purchase gave part# the Lady says non in the USA until 29 JULY. She says she can not honor flyer Sale Price and says Store Manager should give rain check. Advised closes Store is 100 miles to get Raincheck! I give up on HF looking a Piggy Backer now... FYI
  3. SALTYDOG said: "I don't think a spark plug would act that way so I am thinking it's the coil." I'm an OK Mechanic. I have 2 cents on a faulty NGK Plug (I have had a few on my Yamaha Outboards using NGK Plugs that would Idle AOK and run at certain speeds but at full throttle it would STOP firing. The proof was when at full throttle I sprayed card cleaner into each of the Three 3 cylinders and found bad spark plug. Replaced plug duplicated test and fixed with a $3.00 Plug and not a coil ((this time))). New NGK all around and I LUV the NGK Platinum's the Platinums I feel Idle better, warm-ups are faster and run very well and they DO NOT give better fuel economy or more HP compared to NGK-Regulars that are 100% operational. My second 2 cents is Coil going bad. Keep us informed.
  4. Good to know prayers are working. Hang in there Ken.
  5. Don, I was a new venture driver last fall 2008. I took MSF.Org class BASIC and Advanced using their 250cc. bought my Venture then trailered it to empty High School parking lot on saturday a.m. and did 42 miles (In parking lot) of all the maneuvers learned at MSF. BEFORE I hit the streets. Then Sunday a.m. did them same 2-up for another 30-someting miles (in the parking lot) then hit the streets. Top Heavy is a degree of your skills and GRAVITY! Yes I laid it down softly twice on Saturday. I'm 5' 8" 200lbs with 30 inch inseam + 1" Boot heal helps too.
  6. Jonas was a very nice guy and was glad to meet him. I put a shot of Black Death in my Fuel Tank. Ran like a leopard with tail on fire. LMAO (Just kidding). I bet it is better than Seafoam!
  7. Ms frogmaster says... THANK YOU!!! Her RSV-08 Passenger Seat is now 100% tailbone pain free.
  8. Post #11 and 12 should take 5 minutes! Then all others is my 2 cents... Good luck.
  9. You can get #1 thru #4 for around $200 $250. Zumo with #5 thru #6 plus #7,8,9 is FAR FAR from $200...more like $600.00 +++ Goodluck
  10. Same thought 7 minutes apart... scarrryyy
  11. I thought there was an "IDLE SCREW ADJUSTMENT"? Maybe it has backed out and needs to be increased (KISS principal). Also agree with everything above too. Good luck and keep us posted with the real FIX. That means do ONE thing above at a time until fixed.
  12. Peggy, Very nice meeting with you and Ron at MD. I just realized your Tent and Bike "Match colorwise" Niiiice . Mimi says Hi. Charlie & Mimi
  13. I have to agree. Very sad but very true using "almost new tires" to cover up past damages just ask any used car stealer.
  14. Gregg, YOU NAILED IT. I WILL remember these replies for my next Harley Dude.
  15. Just reporting my facts and no opinions... Last Fall bought 2008 RSV came with Yamalube in it and I have the CHIRP from Mileage 000001. 600 miles later replaced Oil & Filter with Shell Rotella-T 5w-40. Now from mileage 0000600 thru 0004500-ish I have the EXACT SAME CHIRP not worse not better. Also changed the Final Drive Hub at 600 miles with Mobil-1 Syn 75-90. Again EXACT SAME CHIRP not worse or better. Suspected conclusion the CHIRP is not Lube related...
  16. All, OMG where do I start? Mimi & I (Charlie) went on our fist ever weekender and camping trip on the Bike about 900 miles round trip. It is way to hard to list ALL THE GREAT PEOPLE we meet too many too list them all. Some THANK YOU's I must Post: Don, Thanks for everything... Brad, Thanks for Carb Tune "Tweak". Gene, Saddle Bags were Great and You were better (Vet Stuff) Rick, Mimi arrived with a sore tailbone (8-9 hours seat time). After fixing Her 2nd Gen Pillow Seat she arrived home with less stops and Zero, Nadda, Zipola Tailbone Pain. Now the only PITA left is me LOL. She wants to say THANK YOU PS... Don I filed for "squatters rights for 2010 and beyond" under the weeping willow tree. I figure I can rent out the remaining shade and donate to St-Judes. Also the folks talking to the Weeping Willow tree were no totally crazy (Shhhhhh....) Charlie & Mimi God Bless
  17. Seems you can not duplicate this in a stationary position (from what I read this only occurs when in actual operation). Questions: Do you hear an "Air Sucking Sound" when opening the Fuel Cap? Original Fuel Cap? Checked the Vent Tubes?

  20. Thanks for sharing. Does anybody remember what MSF.org states is the # 1 accident in motorcycling??? #1 = Failed to safely negotiate a curve. There are MANY factors as we all know such as Speed, Grip/Traction, Hazards, Ect... I visualize the worst case scenario that every curve has Sand, Pebbles, Potholes, Ect and find myself slowing down more than my more experienced peers but that is OK with me. On a few occasions I seen some of the visualized curves and SPEED being my MOST CONTROLLABLE Factor I negotiated some worst case curves.... so far.
  21. Niiiice a REAL LIFE Testimony.
  22. If Autos and Trucks and 18 Wheelers can run SYN Oils 15,000 miles I see no reason my Shell Rotella-T 5w-40 SYN (Blue Jug) should have no problem going 8,000 miles and a new Purolator Gold at 8k too. Here is some Oil & Filter Info Links. http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Consumables.html http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Oils1.html
  23. Northern Michigan to MD on Friday, Anybody? My Route will be M-115 to US-10 to I-75 to US-23 South to State Line... 350 miles One-Way... Maybe we can MEET somewhere? I DO NOT want to commit to any meeting place and time South of FLINT, MI. (due to traffic and time unpredictability. I hate driving under pressure).
