Welded mufflers ugh!

Ya i could probably make something work. Have welder and necessary stuff to make it work. Have to purchase slips ons and hope for the best. Once stock exhaust is cut no turning back. -
I have a 98 rstd. Was going to get slip on mufflers but noticed exhaust is all one piece. When i was shopping for slip ons i noticed they never listed my year of bike-it started in 99. Does anyone make a whole exhaust kit or does anyone have any ideas or who i can turn to for after market support.

Its just worse when iam lugging engine. Still notice it when iam banging through the gears at high r's but not as pronounced. Another question-i noticed people saying 1st and 2nd generation what would my 98 rstd be 1st or 2nd generation

Thats cool we will all have to get together sometime. I will check on getting carbs synced. Thanks for all your help i will keep u all posted.

From kouts indiana just south of valparaiso. Carb sync really! Iam a auto mechanic and boy it sure feels like drivetrain. But i will for sure have it checked out. Where r u guys from

Hello motorcycle brothers and sisters. Iam new to this forum so please be gentle. I own a 1998 royal star tour deluxe with 12,500 miles that i bought used last year. It has a shudder while shifting through the gears on hard acceleration and in od on moderate to heavy acceleration from 50 mph. The clutch is not slipping has plenty of power but shudder's,you can feel it in the seat and handle bars. Did not know if this is nature of the beast for that year or if i am having issues. It has done this from day one. Any help on this would fantastic or if anyone else has had this problem.
