  1. EXACT same thing with a friend of mine, bought six....he did eventually get rid of them but what a PITB is was. buyer beware............
  2. so far it sounds as though the majority thinks the mighty vac is ineffective. i've bled brakes many times on cars by using a coke bottle (or pepsi bottle, lol) partially filled w/brake fluid and placing a neoprene hose into the fluid and placing other end over the bleeder nipple - crack the bleeder and pump the pedal until air has escaped fresh fluid is now in the system - is there any reason this can't be done on my bike? and an same be done with the clutch? i appreciate the inputs. buz
  3. just purchased a mighty vac. i have owned an 07 RSTD since new and i notice the clutch fluid has a brownish color to it - the front master is not near as brownish. i quickly read thru the brake bleeding instruction but would love to have a step by step breakdown of how to use this thing for brakes and clutch fluid. and show i use DOT5 fluid when replenishing it? thanks guy for for any inputs........... Buz
  4. my guess is that 99.9% of all the other ships passengers don't carry concealed weapons and they probably will have a safe & great time while cruising..........btw when was the last time you drew your weapon in self defense, just curious?
  5. “Well, the reason there's a problem in communication between a woman and a man is that a man thinks logically and literally whereas a woman's thoughts can dart from one thing to another and then to another and while speaking, not necessarilly articulate the change in direction. You have to be a good listener (or another woman) to stay in "tune". “.......... bingo !! when my wife and I are conversing she invariably leaves out key elements of the conversation assuming i can fill in the blanks and understand her. and i invariably asked her to repeat alot and to please don't assume i know what she is thinking (but not saying).....sometimes it's just easier to smile, nod and pretend to understand. on the other hand i've heard her in many conversations with other women and tried to follow along but get 'lost' in the translation but the women seem to understand perfectly....so here is what i do
  6. or put him back on one of those little Buell's they use for MSF course !!

  10. ready for new pads on '07 RSTD w/approx. 18k miles. i believe i want to go with EBC organic pads - where do you guy purchase yours??
  11. wife and i took a ride Saturday from Randleman NC to Lynchburg Va. - what has made longer distance rides more pleasurable is the Hoppe Fairing, Utopia backrest, gel pad (walmart), Butler seat mods, tour pack w/ dual padded backrest and highway pegs. i used to get only about 50 miles before my butt was unhappy but can get 100 miles before discomfort begins. i love the cruise and use it constantly. hopefully my next addition to our riding experience will be a communication set for wife and i - it would be nice to chat while riding thru the country. my 07 RSTD rocks, i've had it over two years and put approx. 18K on it, mostly two up. if i had to do it over i would have purcahse the venture but i am happy with my ride !! just wanted to share some happiness. buz
  12. Freezyrider, is the unit a duplex (listen/talk at same time) or is it required to PTT (push to talk) or is it VOX (voice actuated). guess what i'm asking - is it hands free while riding? are you interested in selling your set since you don't use it (pm me if interested).
  13. i've been holding off on buying an intercom - scala has options i would never use ( but would have to pay for) - the ad says it comes with two interphones, does that mean this package has everything you need to communicate to each other ...or do you need a phone w/ bluetooth? has your father in law tested how long you can talk before batteries give out? looks like this could be what i've been waiting for.
  14. can never have too many people praying for you - add me to the list - God is GREAT !!
  15. fuel pump?? :confused24:
  16. correct - i misread the original post as 2.75 - in this case the 1/4/qt. should not be an issue - thanks guys !!
  17. 3.5 qts vs 2.75 qts is quite a difference - why the discrepancy?

  19. it begs the question....."ever been picked up by the fuzz?"..... bet it hurts !!
  20. absolutely no disrespect intended - but the only thing a person would loose by joining and then deciding it isn't the place for them is 12 bucks. We biker use that much gas in a days riding...my 2cents.....
  21. do you need a pilots license after you install those wings???...... lol :stirthepot:
  22. "Try clearing all your cookies" and your recent history. That usually fixes browser problems...................... This requires a large glass of cold milk....chew well and swallow hard..... now dem cookies be gone !!! been using FF for several years with no issues..........
  23. wife & i did about 200 mi. today - the gel pad did better than i expected - only the smallest amount of butt burn - the wife says she likes it too. so for me it is a thumbs ups. btw i also added the utopia backrest and between it and the pad it makes a big difference. i did however have to drill two additional holes in my utopia bracket to get the backrest to hit me lower in the back.
  24. picked one up last night at Walmart in auto section - it is in fact a gel cushion with a mesh covering - rode it home (8 mi.) and in that short distance it seemed more comfy - i will give it a good test run today and report back. i bought the Walmart beads several weeks ago and fashioned it for my seat - i even cut a tailbone relief hole in it and place non skid material under it. it is definitely more comfy and you can really feel the air flow under it. so between the beads and the gel pad i hope to have a winning combo - btw i have had the butler mod done as well.
  25. waving as an acknowledgment to other bikers should be offered as a courtesy without expectation of anything in return....enjoy your ride - it is supposed to be 'our' time to relax !! my opinion..........
