  1. I believe the pin configuration is the same but I don't think the '99 has anything with the same connector that plugs into the amp.
  2. hmmmm....I'm not sure then. I always thought that it stayed checked unless you unchecked it until he told me that his was unchecked. I can make it default either way but only one way or the other and most seem to want it defaulted to checked form past conversations.
  3. OK....I replied to this and then realized that I had forgotten that it IS possible to have them NOT save in your sent folder. When you send a private message, whether it's the initial message or you are replying to a message, scroll down before you click "send" and you'll see that there is a box to check if you want to save a copy in your sent items folder. Make sure it is checked. Once you check it, it will remember your preference and stay checked for the next time and until you turn it off.
  4. I'm out of town right now but will try to look at the wiring schematics when I get home late tonight or tomorrow and see if I can come up with any other suggestions.
  5. I received this message from an ex-venturerider who sold his bike over a year ago. He remembered though that some of our members had been members of the Virago club and some may have known Mike Vehovic. Don, Hi, it's been over a year since I sold my Venture so I'm not sure what's happening on the forum but I know that some of your members were also part of the Virago Owners Club (VOC). We lost a brother this week in a tragic accident, Mike Vehovic from the Indiana PA area. It's suspected that a medical condition contributed to this, as Mike was a very safe rider. Perhaps you can let your members know as some of them may have known Mike. http://www.indianagazette.com/a_police_courts/article_8a4fa2b2-c1c5-5be9-ae59-134bdb564945.html The VOC members are in stunned shock over this. He was a good man, a good family man, and a good friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Mike Vehovic, R.I.P.
  6. If it holds up OK, that sounds like a great deal. That's a LOT cheaper than the Works shock which is the only other adjustable shock that I know of. The Hagon has been discussed here a few times but I think you may be the first that has actually tried one. Please keep us updated on how it works out for you.
  7. Very good. Lot's of great shots.
  8. Yes, it's very simple to replace. Some of the..actually maybe all of the...aftermarket mufflers don't use the gasket but it is required with the stock mufflers.
  9. Yes, it's just the gasket. If it's missing, did you look on the header pipe? It could have stayed on it. To be honest, I've never seen them come apart like that but it shouldn't be a big deal.
  10. The .pdf is great for people that don't have Microsoft Excel but if you have Excel, it is actually better because you can sort it the way that you wish. By state, city, etc.
  11. No, that is the latest one right now. I plan to update it over the next week or so.
  12. Very nice. You got some great shots. I really like the videos also. We don't see many of those.
  13. Re-jetting is absolutely not necessary. I've run exhausts that were stock, modified stock, Samson, Khromewerks, Road King and then to stock again and none required that I re-jet the carbs. Most of the folks that I know who have been talked into re-jetting have seen decreases in performance and in fuel efficiency.
  14. Great job. We need more of these type videos. Thank you for taking the time.
  15. Some seem to pretty much last forever so I doubt I would change it out as preventative maintenance item.
  16. Robb, It seems unlikely that what you did would have damaged the stereo. Are you sure that you are checking the correct fuse? There is one inside the lower right cowling. You have to remove the cowling to get to that fuse box.
  17. That's OK....the important thing is that you found it and besides, after all the ice cream, I needed the exercise.
  18. We were loading it up to take it to the shop. Big Tom squeezed in there after the ice cream and couldn't get back out. We had to widen the door.
  19. Happy Birthday my little red headed PITA. You know I love you.
  20. I agree...you look like you belong there.
  21. You are correct Brad...it stayed on just long enough for the photos. As for MD 2012? It's going to be MUCH harder my friend.
  22. Here are about 220 pictures that Eileen took this year. Enjoy. http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Maintenance%20Day%202011/
  23. Well maybe so but guess what I'm doing right now? I'm eating home made Ice Cream. There was a LOT of leftover ice cream and it's ALL mine now...ALL MINE.
  24. Yea...no more mister nice guy...from this point on...I trust NOBODY. NOBODY at ALL!
  25. I agree...just do it already. You will most likely never have to do it again. Mine was not slipping but Earl was kind enough to do the upgrade over the weekend.
