  1. Have 1993 Venture the CB comes on it transmitts and receives, but the volume is so low you can hardly hear it. Have checked all connection they are fine. Check coax cables they are fine. When you turn on the CB hear it come on but volume is very low any ideas:mytruck1:
  2. Ok guys and gals thanks for the information on the intercom system, the problem was the headsets were not wired for Venture. While out riding today found a 1986 Venture Royale with everything but the kitchen sink. The bike has only 26000 miles on it has been sitting for about two years. Owner is asking $1100 is this a deal or what, I have a 1983 that I have to use for parts:mytruck1:
  3. I will give that a try, I purchased this bike last summer and just really had not had a chance to ride it. I read in one of the post on here and I can not find it but some of the headsets where not working will with these bikes. I didnt use J&M i go another brand and that maybe the problem.
  4. Ok I changed the old Amp system put a different one on. Can hear the CB Radio but no intercom, checked all wires and connections they are all good any suggestions
  5. Ok guys tired everything I can think of for my intercom. When plugged in have sound from the CB and radio. But can not transmit on the CB or talk on the intercom. Checked all the switches used different setting, and nothing. even changed the headsets and still nothing. Could the intercom control head be bad, even though it switches from head set to speaker with no problem. I even turned the intercom button on and off and this changed nothing.
  6. Thanks will pick up a new one
  7. Hello Guys I am attempting to repair the female end on the intercom cable for the driver coming out of the amp box. has anyone ever used a female commication cable from a computer and if you have. Like to have the wiring. it has two more wires than the old end I took off.
  8. yea I saw some cable on Pin Walls site it looked to have the angle to fix the amp. think i will just attempt to repair mine its just the one end bad
  9. Ok guys will the intercom cables comming from the amp to head set from a 99 work on the 92 venture as long as the cable from the 99 has the 90 degree angle on the end going into the amp:bluesbrother:
  10. have no mic at all can move the cables around and get a little noise in the driver helmet I guess it could be in the headset, but once you turn the intercom off there should be no sound at all, and i am still getting sound
  11. Ok guys my intercom system on 92 1300 seem to have stopped working. cords plugged in can hear it very low, the volume will not come up and when i turn off the intercom its like it has no affect can still hear small amount of volume through the helmet. I just put two new JM lower cables on and still no sound and you can not even talk through the system at all.
  12. Looking for the headsets and lower cables for 92 venture trying to keep all the original equipment on the bike that i can,
  13. Trying to locate the fuse for the CB on a 1992 Venture Royale comes on but the number fade out, turn the switch on and off numbers come up for a second and then go out. Or do i need to replace this unit
  14. The CB comes on and channels can be changed, the numbers fade out in about two seconds. there is no sound coming through the speakers. Anyone know what else can be checked
  15. I just purchase 1992 Venture Royale which has the cb that will not come on. The lights work but no number appear, and can not get any sound from the radio. It will not change channels with the unit or with the handle bar controls
