  1. Also check this thread. They offer VentureRiders a 10% discount and have been a supporter to our club. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=37550
  2. Your opinion is appreciated and welcome but you seem to be in the minority by far. Also, with the addition of the feature that posts new ad notifications automatically to the Links to Classifieds forum, they get at least as much exposure as the did in the forums. As for your old ad being deleted? I didn't delete any ads that weren't marked sold. If it was over 60 days old, it would have been deleted automatically. That was another negative of having them in the forum. After 60 days, there were deleted and there was no email sent out before hand giving you the option of renewing it. EDIT: I misread your statement about your old ad being deleted already. You said it was in the OLD area. So I really don't know what happened to it. Maybe notifications did not go out when I had that section disabled.
  3. I lerned al my cipherin from Jethro Clampett.
  4. Please don't apologize. I don't take it as complaining at all. I need to know when there is a problem. I have found out there there is a bug in this last security update from VBulletin that is causing these problems. I am trying to figure out how to correct them while waiting on them to come up with an official fix. I must made another change. Please try again and let me know what happens this time. Thanks
  5. I just made a change in the programming code. Let me know if it helped.
  6. Is it when you click on one of those bookmarked pages that you have the problem? If so, delete one of them and then add it back and see if that corrects the issue. If so, you will need to do them all.
  7. hmm......ONE word....Frog Toggs..... Frog plus Toggs = .......hmmmmmm I need to find my calculator but SOMETHING just doesn't seem to be adding up. That aside....I agree. We really like our Frog Toggs. They work well and you don't cook inside them when it's warmer outside.
  8. Just a reminder. We HAVE gone back to the old format. No new ads can be added to the forum classifieds except for our member vendors. I will be removing all other categories tomorrow. I have sent Private Messages to everybody who had an ad in the forum classifieds reminding them to post their ads in the old classifieds. You get to them by clicking on "Classifieds" in the upper menu bar. Just a reminder. When you place an ad in the Classifieds, you do NOT need to place a link to it in the "Links to Classifieds" forum. That is done automatically by a custom mod that I have installed. Every, 10 minutes I think, the script checks for new ads and then posts a notice on the forum. At that time, the new ad will also show up on the home page as an active thread and also will show up under "New Posts". I am still working on the original glitch that caused our member vendor ads to prematurely get deleted. You will see some "test ads" posted by me until I get that issue resolved. Hopefully I will get that worked out soon. Until I am sure that it is resolved however, I will leave the "Member Vendors" classifieds in the forum as they are now.
  9. I hope you enjoy it I too had never thought I wanted an electric but am sure enjoying the Taylor solid body that I bought a few months ago.
  10. Also, check your settings and see what the detail level is set on. I think there are 3 settings, low, normal and high. If it is set on low, it won't show the smaller streets.
  11. OK folks, I cannot duplicate the error on my system using Firefox or IE. You probably get tired of this suggestion but in these type cases, it usually resolves the problem. 1. Remove VentureRider from your favorites. 2. Clear your browser cache. 3. Go to VentureRider.org and then add it to your favorites again.
  12. hmmm.....well hopefully it was just a glitch. Maybe a server issue or something. I just logged in and out a couple of times and it didn't happen. Let me know if it continues.
  13. I haven't seen that nor heard any other reports about it. In fact, I don't think I have EVER seen it. Which browser are you using and when do you get it?
  14. The best place would probably just be the watering hole. I can order bells at any time but I need to know that there is enough interest. I can easily be sitting on a couple thousand dollars worth of inventory for a long time if I'm not careful. When I see a strong enough response to a request, I'll do what I can to provide what is requested.
  15. I THINK so. Not sure about the bracelets. There is an email in that post that you can use to find out. I'm presently out of guardian bells but it clearly states that in the ad. I will order more when there is enough interest to do so.
  16. Yes, only supporting members can post to the classifieds. The reason for that is to prevent folks from joining the site only to try and sell their things. Yes, some of the ads are old. They were all re-posted when I re-activated the classifieds. Those that are there should still be good or should automatically expire soon.
  17. Sorry about that. I tried to add an edit/repair knee function but I just can't seem to get it to work properly. I'll take another look when I get the chance.
  18. Refrigerator is stocked. Steaks in the freezer in the garage. Ice cream in freezer in garage. I think I'm out of Carolyn's though.
  19. Well, based upon the responses here and a good number of messages that I have received, I guess I need to go back to the old way. Now there is still the issue of ads expiring for no reason that our member vendors post. So because of that, I am going to leave a small section in the forum for folks like Skydoc, Carbon_One, Rick Butler and etc. Maybe I'll remove it later if I ever get the problem resolved. Other than that though, I will be removing the other forum based classifieds and am opening the old classifieds back up for posting right now. If you have items listed in the forum classifieds, feel free to start re-posting them in the original classifieds. There is still a link to them in the upper menu bar here.
  20. Yea, it did get hijacked. Sorry about that but let's get back on track now. Still looking for input on the classifieds. So far, it sounds like MOST like the old system better. Still want to hear from more of you though.
  21. Well heck Bob...I wish I was home so that I could offer you a place to stay tomorrow night but unfortunately, I'm in Michigan until at least Thursday.
  22. OK folks. I just installed a security update to our forum software. I think I got all the necessary mods made but please let me know if you see anything that is not working properly.
  23. Yep, never had any problems at all with my '99. I've never known them to be problematic.
  24. Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
  25. I sent you a PM but don't spend much time worrying about it. I have tried a lot of things so far and it just doesn't seem to want to work. I tell you though, this new computer is pretty nice. My company provides my laptop and I was due a new one. The old one was a Dell Latitude with a 120 GB drive, Intel Core 2 Duo and 2 GB of ram, 15" screen. I told them that I would like to have a bit better one this time and ended up with: Dell Vostro. Intel Quad Core I7, 6 GB Ram, 1 GB Nvidia graphics card, 500 GB 7200 RPM drive, 17.3" screen, back lit keyboard, lots of other goodies. It's a business class laptop with aluminum top, bottom and etc. It is a bit heavy but really a nice machine. Shipped with Office 2010 and some other software that is actually useful and basically NO bloatwear like you find on most consumer laptops.
