  1. Get well soon Russel. Sorry to hear about your illness. Always enjoyed our late night group talks at the PIP. Hope to see you again at the PIP! Your Canadian friend.
  2. I bought one two weeks ago. All I can say is it is a fantastic bike. The only major complaint from most is the suspension could use upgrading and no cruise. I have the deluxe model, ABS,traction control, heated grips, Centre stand, Bluetooth stero, fuel injected and three years warranty. The v4 is very smooth and has lots of power. I sold my venture and bought the CTX because I was tired of waiting for Yamaha to put out something new. Don't get me wrong I loved my midnight venture but as stated I wanted newer technology. Tom if you have any questions I would be happy to talk with you. As stated make sure you shop around because they are not being made anymore and you should be able to get a good deal.
  3. Installed a HID light and it is substantially brighter but a lot of times when I start the bike the light doesn't come on. I turn the bike off and back on and the light will come on. Has anyone encountered this problem and if so what is the fix. I tried researching on here but couldn't find anything.
  4. Where did you find the chrome passenger floorboard?
  5. Just to clarify. My sat radio in my truck is not portable, it is a car stero. I will be purchasing a portable for my RSV. I have contacted SiriusXM and they say it will cost me $16 to transfer my subscription from the truck to a new portable on the motorcycle.
  6. Thanks for all the replies I sure appreciate. Brenda H you answered one of my questions regarding which radio. I called Siriusxm today and they told me that I have the XM package so I now know that I need to purchase a radio that supports XM if I want to transfer my subscription from my truck to the motorcycle in the summer. They said it will cost me $16 to transfer from one radio to the other. I would still like to see some pics of the installations and mounts. Thanks again. Dana
  7. Is one better than another as I see there is a Onyx, Starmate and Stratus? They show they come with vehicle kits that include a docking kit? How to you mount these to your motorcycle. Does the radio stay okay in the docking station while you are moving or can you just get a radio without the docking station and use a different mounting system. Picture please and advice. thanks Dana
  8. I have a 2004 Midnite Venture and I want to install a satellite radio. It has to be a Siriusxm because I just got a Siriusxm subscription for my truck and I would transfer the subscription in the summer to the motorcycle. I also live in Canada. What would you recommend and what do I have to purchase for the install. Pictures or advice would be great. Thanks Dana
  9. I used lock washers and regular nuts, worked just fine. The lock washers are key.
  10. Are members voting because it is closer to them and is the membership higher out east. I voted Wi because it appears to be nice area and it is a 10 hour ride for me opposed to a 24 hour ride to WV. I live in the middle of Canada so the members west of me have an extremely long ride. Also the month of September is really pushing it for the members out west as they have already had snow a few weeks ago.
  11. I find it hard to believe that with the number of people on this site no one has experience with these machines? kevin thanks for your reply.
  12. My wife has recently been prescribed home oxygen. She has a oxygen machine in the house. I understand you can buy a portable oxygen concentrator to use when you are in the car or out and about. I don't know a lot about them and when I look on eBay they range anywhere from approx. $300 to $3000. Does anyone have any experience with these machines and recommend one at a reasonable cost. The cheaper ones appear to be made in China, do I want to stay away from these or are a lot of them made in China. I am also thinking about where I can get it serviced. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I think it would be easier to use the portable machine rather the lugging oxygen tanks around. Thanks Dana
  13. It only has controls on the bars.
  14. It is like a toggle switch control. Push up to increase and down to decrease the volume.
  15. I have a 2005 Electraglide Classic. I turn on the radio and turn the volume up it it plays fines but when I turn the volume down to about half volume the radio stops playing. It does the same to the CD player, Mp3player,etc. if I turn the volume back up it starts to play again. Any suggestions? Thanks Dana
