How does your passenger cable lay?
Marcarl replied to GigaWhiskey's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Pasted mine down behind the seat with double sided tape, drilled a hole through it to put a cable tie through to keep the end from leaving it's place. Now when I hook in the curly cord it stays behind the seat until my partner wants to ride, then it comes out and she plugs in with the short cord from the helmet, also she doesn't have to walk around with a long cord hanging from her neck. -
I wired my trailer from the back where I could get at the harness, under the trunk area. I glued my modulite inside the back rail and then taped the wires together and run them down the little pipe that holds the fender at the bottom. Hope this helps. Carl

Sounds like it will be a real nice ride, might run into you when you're around Brantford. Going to worship first thing in the morning, as always, so we're never ready 'til 1pm anyways. Have a good ride.

Need some insight
Marcarl replied to Squidley's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
We're still working on putting on another set of tires, should be any day now. We'll let you know. What we're experincing is not a front end wobble, it's more like a fish squirm from the bike itself. -
Good to hear, and we'll continue to ask for healing. Carl

High Vacuum In Just One Carb?
Marcarl replied to hilliss's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
A little late maybe, but the the plate on #2 is governed by the throttle stop screw. Took me a while to figure that one out, but solved my problem once it came to my brain. Good Luck. -
Don't really know the answer, but on the 1st gens there are 2 power wires going to the audio, one for constsant power and one for switched power. If that is the case with yours, could be something flukie with that. That being said, members have had other problems with the ignition switch, so you might look at that.

There's a post in the tech section on how to tighten the steering head, actually you tighten them until you have very little bounce on the handle bars when you push them over. Cupping on the tire is not going to help your situation, but from what you discribed your steering head needs tightening.

I know this might sound some what stupid, but try to put your kickstand in the UP postion.
