Never thought about it until now. Lucky I guess, I've only used the CB 2-3 times since I got the bike in Nov.07! My antenna's were backwards. I went out to the garage to look as soon as I read this thread.. Swapped them over and tested the CB works okay. We are going to enjoy a ride today.. This site is great Thanks guys!!

Went to the web page and looked at the pictures..Looks like the guy is on life support!LOL Last summer Peggy and I were riding home from Andersonville, in south Ga. It was hot. :scorched:We had stopped for at a traffic light, where this little old man was washing his car. We asked him to soak us down, after a couple of seconds he said okay! He soaked us down good, and all the people around us must have thought that this old man was out of his mind.. Anyway the light changed and we rode off at about 15 degrees cooler. that lasted for about 20 miles then we started to warm up again.. Maybe that cooled gear is a good idea!!??

We bought our 2008 RSV in November 2007 with 1 miles on it. We've put 15,120 miles on it so far, with plans for many more!!

IMHO, A torque wrench is very important. I work on Corp.Jet aircraft Engines, and just about every bolt and nut is torqued. Under torqued bolt or nut could be bad as it can back off and it might give a warning prior to something going wrong. BUT----an over tightened bolt could be disastrous. It will be over stressed and could possibly break with no warning break, and doesn't have to break when you over tighten it. Could be while you are on the road . I own 3 torque wrenches 1/4" drive, 3/8" drive, 1/2" drive. all click type

I'm glad she's okay, but did she finish cleaning the garage?

Peggy and I watched the movie, and yes you have to have a heart of stone to not be affected by the movie. Side note : When a fallen Hero is returned home they are now transported from Dover by a private Air Carrier mostly Koletta airlines(sp?) and they are carried in the cabin of the aircraft..No more in the cargo compartment if it can be helped.

Looked at the pictures. They were great, and there were a bunch of them! Every once in a while I have to visit the airport for business in West Columbia, and for some reason I end up at the "Lizard's Thicket" for breakfast. You picked a good place to eat!! Again it was great meeting youse guys yesterday Rick and Peggy

What a neat thread.. Don't put me in the running for the pin, but I'll be glad to tell you our story.. Peggy and I Started riding a few yrs. back on a Honda VTX1300R. We took a couple of long trips and with peggy's neck and back problems, we had to look for a different bike. In the group we were riding with there were a few different brands of bikes being ridden. One of the guys was selling his Ultra Classic (I alway wanted a Harley) so I went for a ride and thought it was okay, but it was up to Peggy if we got it or not. She was very dissatisfied with the ride and comfort. So I was hedging toward a Honda GoldWing..Another guy had a RSV Midnight. Mike took Peggy for a ride, she wanted to compare the RSV and the Harley.. What can I say we went to the local dealer looking for a 2008 RSV Charcoal/Silver The dealer didn't have one but he did have a 2008 RSV Blackcherry/Raven. Peggy fell in love with the color. We made the deal and she's had a smile on her face ever since. Oh Yeah I think it is a great bike too:big-grin-emoticon: Last June we took a vacation and did the BlueRidge Parkway, and the Skyline drive from start to finish and back again. We are loving every mile we ride!!!

That wasn't a very nice thing to do!!!! I was just starting to feel really comfortable here and there is a lot more for me to learn here. Thought I would have to find another place to hang out! Then I read your post I'm glad it's not this site going away..

Divey, I'm all for saving money, but I'm having trouble finding the tips. When I call a dealer they just scratch their head saying they don't know about the tips. Where do you get them?
-
Yes that is them. Thanks, now I know what to look for.

Depending on the size of the cleaner you can do a lot of things. We clean bearings, filters and assorted parts. If you've got jewelery you can clean it. The ultrasonic cleaners do a fantastic job IMHO Probably clean your false:smile5: teeth if you have them! LOL

Thanks for the info...

Okay, I'm on a quest!!! Last week we went to Steve Wagners for a mini maint. day. While we were there, Dave3 showed me his exhaust tips (On a stock exhaust system) he told me where he got his bike and told me they installed them. I contacted the Dealer and they couldn't help me. Maybe I didn't explain it well enough! In my searching I came across an article from 2005 in Motorcycle-usa.com see link below:(hope link works) At the bottom of the article there is a photo showing the tips saying "They can be removed, or turned around or swapped out with different ones with a set screw!" Does anyone here know where these can be found ? thanks in advance http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/275/936/Motorcycle-Article/2005-Yamaha-Royal-Star-Tour-Deluxe.aspx

It was either my brother or me! Dad would say Change the chanel. Lucky we only had a few, and he had his favorite shows to watch. We had to get up go over to the TV turn the dial. He also had an automatic Beer delivery system "Rick go get me a BEER!" It worked every time never broke down.

I had the same thing happen to me. One of the rods would stick.. So I disassembled it to inspect it and see what the problem was.. I couldn't find a reason for the sticking, but I took a little bit of talcum powder and rubbed it around the rod (it doesn't take much) and reassembled the carbtune. Worked great I like the carbtune Pro unit, have had success using it. Hope this helps
