When you are under throttle you are pushing back into your seat . The wires are routed and cross under the seat they get crimped -- the radio cuts out. I moved the wires a bit and the problem went away. Hope this helps

Terry I don't know if you made it to Galaxy today.. Peggy and i rode up there and we listened to Curtis Jones play in the showroom for a little bit. Got a phone call from #1 son just as they were setting up to play outside. We had to go over to Acworth and see him.. Then we rode back home to Evans.. Long day, but a great ride..

Like Two Tone said, I had the same problem most of the time when I excelerated the radio would cut out. Then I leaned back hard in my seat the radio cut out. Took the seat off and the wiring seemed to be crimped the harness's were routed so they crossed each other I seperated them to where they cross in another spot the radio has worked fine since. Hope this helps

I just received my Clearview windshield this afternoon and I installed it, I ordered a "Blem" and you do get them much quicker. I ordered it 2 weeks ago. The reason it took 2 weeks was because they were out of vents and they were waiting on them to come in.. The description said slight scratches! Well it took me a while:think: but I did find the "slight" scratches. It looks great:thumbsup2:

I hope they catch him, but in my opinion he won't have the helmet anyway. He only needed it to get out of N.Y. Most likely threw it away after he got on the ferry to go back to Conn.

I had a bigfoot watching over my bike. Not any more, he went home to north GA. I heard he ended up in a freezer! Now I just use insurance!!

The sport trailer is good looking, but it weighs over 500lbs.. Way too heavy

First-----thanks to everyone on this list. the ideas, the help, and just the laugh's you all contribute:clap2:. Now if i can just find the time to start meeting some of you. I decided to start doing my own maintanence. I let the dealer do my first three scheduled services, but I'm not comfortable with them . I like the "check list" in the manual. When I brought it to them with questions they said they didn't do this or that and this doesn't need to be done now:puzzled:.. So I'll do it myself. I ordered the carbtune straight from the manufacturer. They got it to me in 5 business days. This morning I went out to the garage to play with the new toy. I put the bike on the jack stand and started it to bring it up to temperature. I don't have a tach and can't seem to locate where to buy one, so I adjusted the idle to where it seemed to sound right? I hooked up the carbtune to the bike 1+2 were out a little so was 3+4 plus 3+4 were lower then 1+2 I adjusted 1+2 got them together then adjusted 3+4 then adjusted both banks together.. simple as that... I topped the tank off. Peggy and I rode 150 miles.. She and I both noticed how much smoother the bike is . I've been upset with the vibrations the bike has had. Now i'm pretty happy and it only took 9000 miles. and SYNC'ING the carbs!! I'll be keeping my eye on the mileage to see if it improves!?? BTW I checked the carbtune by hooking all 4 tubes up 1 at a time to the # 3 carb. all were the same..

Wow that was a great trip. Glad you had a good time. My wife Peggy and I did exactly what you did. We had no agenda and didn't have to be anywhere but where we ended up! We had no reservations anywhere. When we stopped we found a hotel!! We did the Blue Ridge parkway from start to finish, then the Skyline Drive from start to finish. We rode through Ga,NC,SC,Va, and Tn. We took 12 days in June to do it and had a wonderful time.

I lent my trailer to a friend, when it came back home to me, it had one of these chocks on it.. His way of saying thanks.. Anyway I put my RSV on it to see if it fit I had to adjust the rear portion of the chock to the bottom most position. I got off the bike and looked it over and found the tire does not quite fit, what I mean is it doesn't sit on the floor. I did tie the bike down and it was secure... Sorry I didn't take any photos. I can set the bike on the trailer tomorrow and take a couple of pictures so you can see it if you'd like I was thinking of removing the rear chock portion so the tire will fit better. The trailer is a 5x8 open sport utility trailer hope this helps

WANT TO TALK TO ANOTHER BIKE w/o AUDIO
Sling replied to TESchoener's topic in GPS, Audio, Electronics
Sounds like to me--TESchoener just wants to be able to talk to his wife.. Prior to going out on a ride we have a short briefing ie: the route we are going to take, if you get seperated, and what channel we are going to use... and where to go if we get stepped on.(very rare) We just use the CB to talk bike to bike.. If we have an emergency we use the cell phone.. just my two cents:whistling: -
Please, when I win.. :no-no-no:don't give my trailer to Tom to deliver. For some reason I don't think it will arrive!!

Oh boy!! Just sent money in for the tickets... Now I guess I just have to wait till my trailer gets here!! Sorry I won't be able to pick it up in person:confused24:

My wife Peggy and I rode up to Ashville,NC. from Augusta,Ga. Saturday morning. We were going to pick up the Blue Ridge Parkway in Ashville. The parkway is closed from Mile marker 380 up to approx Mile marker 340 (Follow the detour signs). We got on just north of Mt.Mitchell. Rode it up to Blowing Rock,NC. (where it is closed to just north of Boone,NC) We then made it up to Lexington,Va. where we are spending the night tonight. We are going to finish the ride on the BlueRidge Parkway tomorrow and then do the Skyline drive to Front Royal,Va. From there we are going to Ride back down to Ashville and pick up the Blue Ridge Parkway to Cherokee,NC. We are planning to ride over to Chattanooga,TN. Then down to Acworth,Ga.to visit our son and his family then back to Augusta,Ga. Info on rode closing found here : http://www.virtualblueridge.com/news-and-events/news-260.asp

I have the American flag sewn on left side of my vest above my chest. The only rule I know is "You don't sew anything above the flag patch." Hope this helps..

Thanks, I'm impressed with the speed you guys answer. Just what I needed to know.. I work on Corperate Jet engines and all our manuals are on CD's.

I'm planning on getting a Maint.manual for the '08 RSV. Where can i get the best price? I would like to do my own maint. on the RSV. Plus I think it's good to know as much about the bike as I can. So when I do have to the bike to the shop I'll know what they are talking about Is it availible on CD? Getting on a CD would be great.. I have a M.M. for my Honda 1300 VTX and do most of the work myself.

I just bought a couple of HJC AC-3 hemets with the optional face shield. and the helmet has pockets for the speakers. I went with the inexpensive JM mic and headset. Never had a communication system prior to buying the RSV. so I didn't know if I'd like it. Well so far it has worked pretty good. Peggy likes listening to the with the headset There is a little hissing in the background, but it is not bad. Maybe down the road abit we'll get a better head set system. below are the links if you would like to see the helmet and headset BTW the wire detaches from the helmet so you don't have to have it hanging when you aren't using the system. http://www.helmetcity.com/page/HC/PROD/ac3/ac3matteblack http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=JM%2DHS%2D8154%2DOF
