I love mine, brightest light I have ever had. Never had a single issue with mine.

Wow. Sure do like my HID headlight, especially at that price.

of if your cheap like me and can live without tunes, a Memphis Shades is an alternative -
Once in the parking lot at work, when turning it to full lock and coming to a stop to back it in. It is one heavy sob.

I've been lusting after this bike as well. The price is a bit steep but I like it.

Being tall and long legged, I liked raising the bike up!

On the 2nd gen you have to run a seperate power and ground, but otherwise it is a simple plug and play. Mine came with a connector that plugged into the bike harness and uses this as the switch for a relay so it all works the same. One added benefit is that you are moving the headlight power consumption off of the ignition circuit. Should help with some of the ignition issues we hear about.

Where did you get them, how hard and how much?

Hoppe Fairing
tsigwing replied to mmkleine's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I've got tons of pics of the Memphis Shades on mine, couldn't justify the Hoppe $$$ especially with my crappy hearing. I also wanted to be able to quickly remove the fairing and didn't want the extra electrical to have to deal with for a quick detach. -
Bought mine from SkyDoc, it was delivered in a couple of days fully charged.
-
I've got one of the ones out of Canada and have had 0 issues with it since I installed it on 5/1.

Mine does, apparently it actually just rotates the bulb. After using mine at night, trust me that there is no need to use the high beam, it is incredible bright and people will most definately see you.
-
I don't and mine works just fine. It uses the stock wiring harness as the relay switch, and you run a seperate power wire. Start up is no problem.
-
crank the pressure up in the rear shock, tell her to stay still while turning, try to minimize any u-turns, you should be fine.
-
So riding home thought the rear end felt a little mushy, but made it home fine. Got up the next morning and put a guage on it and it was dead, picked up a nail. Initially was going to just plug it, but since I bought the tire (mounted) from Discount tire and they fix flats for free, I took it to them instead. They un-mounted it, patch/plugged it from the inside and re-mounted it, no muss no fuss no charge. Guess that is why I buy all of my tires from there.

Jim, I've got both the handlebars and the stock seat from my 05. Took the handlebars off about a year ago, they are in fine shape. The stock seat has maybe 1000 miles on it, in perfect condition. -
didya check your fuses?

Very very nice. Too bad mine is paid for.
