I just purchased a fairing for my 05 RSTD it has two 6x9 cutouts my question is I found some really nice stuff car audio quality and I looked into Marine grade stuff but it seems to me it cost more for less audio quality based on tech charts I'm paying more for water proof ? Does that make sense ? so my Real question should be is it worth it to get marine grade products if my bike is garage kept and not a Daily rider only time it gets wet is if I wash it or rain comes in on road trip I didn't plan for (rare)

Finally got around to installing my Memphis Shades Batwing. I ordered a generic one off of EBAY for a 9" headlight, bought the quick release brackets from Wayne, and made a custom bracket to attach the batwing to the quick release bracket. Took it for a quick ride and I like it.

I am thinking about using two flexible LED strips http://www.ledlightsworld.com/ultraflexible-waterpoof-trichip-led-strip-lights-p-142.html mounted on my MS Batwing and having them light up as aux front turn signals/running lights. Also the plan includes wrapping them back around to the inside of the batwing a couple of inches to provide some signal indication to people driving beside the bike. Question is in a perfect world (forget the legal crap) I would like the strips to be powered on full time but flash on and off with the turn signals...is this possible with the existing wiring? Quick connectors would be used for batwing quick removal which I can do Bike is an 05 RSTD Thanks guys and gals -
Wanting to know if anyone has installed a MemphisShades batwing fairing on a RSTD (06) w/ the available Hogtunes sound system? Will it clear the speedometer? -
Well finally got the Batwing fairing installed on the V Star, it only took a few hours to do, but it took, a door fabricator, a substitute school teacher, a Fed Ex driver and a rocket scientist.......so wasnt to tough............and we also rewired this weird looking trailer so the rocket scientist could get it home from here. New pics added, removed the fairing to adjust the brackets and paint, fairing is now reinstalled with everything,w/s, lowers, and fork lowers...........Its finished.........:dancefool: I guess I can call it Midnite now................

Premeaux Batwing Fairing

I am considering installing a Premeaux batwing fairing with radio kit and 6.5 inch speaker holes onto my 2006 RSTD. Has anyone tried one of these on an '05 or later RSTD? Feedback? Thanks!
