  1. I'm back after a hiatus...hey a friend of mine is looking for a set of Wayne's brackets, I don't see the adds anymore......on a bad note I have a new VStar 1300 tourer with my name on it ....decisions decisions
  2. I usually ride in jeans, with chaps if cooler...today I road in sweat pants and chaps and I noticed they were considerably more comfortable than my usual jeans...ya if know all about protection...anyone else do this? I was thinking I might do this for long trips since my waist and jeans are constantly at odds......one more thing...not one mention of one piece riding suit like an AeroStitch Roadcrafter.
  3. Congrats are due...I retired after 35 years of keeping the lights on, did nothing for a year, got bored and found a part time job...Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday....long weekends EVERY weekend...try retirement, it works in various forms
  4. Cheap chrome housings and these PAR 36 LEDs http://www.truck-lite.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=84586&langId=-1 Bat #%£€> bright but pricey PM me for pictures
  5. Thanks for everything!
  6. If you wanna replace both lights and want BRIGHT lights check out PAR 36 LED work lights...down side is big $$$$
  7. All I could find are 2357 NA and once you cut the pin off, I found that they don't flash, still looking for 2357A
  8. Ok so the bottom of my shock looks oily, still holds air, sounds like a goose when you push down, doesn't bounce when you you push down, on a 2005 RSTD set up for solo riding, with 60k kms, do I need I a new shock? I would diffinately go with aftermarket, really have no need for air IMO
  9. Ok with both Trucklite Par 36 LED lights installed using P Clamps mounted to the existing turn signal bar the turn signal lights are pretty much invisible when flashing at night...OEM turn signal bulbs...need turn bulbs to be MUCH brighter...suggestions?
  10. So install was piece of cake, everything fits well into headlight shell. I had the driving lights (kuraykn/Trucklite) wired to the low beam side but now they are on all the time which makes for REALLY bright high beams...not sure why this is happening but I did plug in the small two pin plug which the instructions said not required...unsure of this will have any effect. The lights I got were on sale but are 55w instead of 35w, don't think I saved any alternator output although the LEDs are a big reduction over normal driving lights
  11. If I had to do it over I would go to the Grote Par 36 LED bulbs, more lumens with replaceable lens than Kuryakyn/Trucklite LED IF you want the "classic" look driving light look....if not there are lots of smaller LED bullet style like http://canadiancruisercustomizing.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2
  12. The lights talked about are very good but these ones have replaceable lenses which started me down this road since I got a rock in the lens of the sealed beams that I had installed http://www.grote.com/product.php?product_number=63821-5 Not sure how they compare but here in Canada they seem available , hell they had them in my small town but they have different LED count/lens pattern so not a mix and match IMO.
  13. Is there a hot wire in the turn signal switch that would trigger LED lights mounted to the mirrors?
  14. Hahaha...yep got a HID coming from Canadian Cruiser
  15. Just a heads up about these lights, they are sold as each not as a pair as per my order and discussion with CustomCruiser, they advertised as plural ie lampS, when I questioned them I was assured the $100 price was for two...opened the package today and found one....yea they made a mistake, pisses me off `cause I would have ordered two if I knew, now back ordered for a week Soooooo I have a cyclops looking RSTD, see dramatic difference in the picture below...
