Edna Jewell Wright passed from this life into her eternal home Sat. at 3:40 pm. I know some folks have "inlaw" problems and I am reminded again just how blessed I am. I took Edna's baby girl for my wife 37 yrs. ago and I gained 2 wonderful ladies. Patsy and Edna! What a blessing she was to me. She would tell everyone she knew how she had not lost a daughter --just gained a son. It has been a tough few months watching as the Alzheimer's took its toll on her mind and body. Patsy and her sis Jessie have really had a tough time--but it is all over now for mama. She is at rest. We will mourn, but know in our hearts that God needed her now. Who knows she might be making him some of them ol' "cat head" biscuits. Thank you mama for loving me REST IN PEACE!

Lyle, You and your family have been added to our prayer list also. It is not easy caring for our older loved ones at times but God tells us that he won't put more on us than we can bear. Just lean upon him during the troubled times. Craig

I am planning on riding up to Helen this weekend. You could go to Autozone and buy the automatic trickle charger for $29.00 and hook it up to your battery. I have one and it works great. It is a "float" charger--it cuts its self off when the battery gets full charge but maintains that full status if it needs to bring it back up to charge. If you wanted to meet up Ken and I could help you install it--take about 10 min. tops.

No air cooled vtwin is gonna make it for me.I like being able to see behind me in my mirrors, and not have my legs frying. If 2009 brings a vtwin Venture then I'll be looking for a 08 to keep for a long time. I guess time will tell the story.

Hey thats great news. Congrats to ya'll!

Here is some pics of the one I made. I went to Tractor supply for the box and harbor freight for the kit. I mounted the toungue in the forward set of holes and then drilled xtra holes in the front of the frame. The frame was cut down to fit the box I mounted and it turned out to be approx. the same width as my bike. The only thing I would have done differantly would be to buy the 60" box instead of the 48" one.I could have bought the piggybacker for around the same price as I have in mine ---but mine is shiney --like chrome-- and it isn't as wide as the piggy. But for the money the piggy is hard to beat just as a simple hauler.

Mabe contact Hugbare. He put a unit on his wife's bike that had it all including a cb so they could talk bike to bike.I don't remember what brand it was but he said it did a good job.

As has been said white lithium helps. But 1st you have to get it open, lol When this happens to me(and it still does at times cause I put in too much stuff),I can usually get it open by pushing in on the bag and pushing the latch and pulling up all at once. Takes a helper or 2 but has worked so far. Stand at the back of the bike and sight down the inside of the bag --make sure the lid is straight with the lower bag.

Congrats to ya Kit. :cool10:I have some friends that have went to the dark side and love it. If it wern't for me being 6'6" and a 35" inseam I might be on one too. They are truely rockets on 2 wheels. I just don't like the feet under riding position and I hit my knees on the fairing,so I'll just stay with Angel. Hope you enjoy the heck out of yours and be very very careful.

Great news Lonna. Patsy and I will continue praying for your recovery. I hope that Brad spoils you rotten during your recovery. Just rest and relax let him do all for you:stirthepot:. I just gotta give ya'll a hug too !

Mrs.Santa got the lower vents and the gas tank mount covers from the Yamaha shop in Dalton. Last year at a ride in we saw a set of these on a guy from Fla's bike. I said that these might be cool on Angel and mama remembered it. I had no idea I was getting them or I would have told her about some of the "online" stores that give discounts on Star accessories, because she did not get a discount:confused24:. I have installed them and they do make a differance. I think this summer they will really help too.

Squidly, No--, this is not the proper way to split the fairing and remove the windshield from a RSV. I tried to tell you to go to the tech section and read the instructions there.:bighug:Now to the serious stuff. Man I'm glad y'all limped away from it. We will continue to pray for your speedy recovery in Ga.

Here is another option you can do. Mine is the 48" box but if I were building it again I would have gone with the 60" one. I got my idea from Sqidley. What ever you decide on good luck!

I just got off the phone with Brad. He said they are doing ok ,Lonna is worse than him, but both are in good spirits.Thank God for small miracals. Brad said 2 milles sooner than where the tire let go and they would have been surfing on concrete instead of the grass median. They had just come off a long bridge. As has been said we will all be doing a lot of praying for their complete recovery. Craig and Patsy

Brad, Man ya'll scared me bad. I am sure glad that you are still alive and kickin (altho not too high) Do we need to set up a relay to get ya'll home? It can be done, for sure. After all if we can get a trailer to Canada we can get ya'll home.I will be praying for you both for speedy healing. Anything I can do to help just call, you have my number.

Out of respect for you Froggy I refrained from going on my traditional New years day ride. I didn't want to be one of those people who would rub in your face the fact that I was riding when you could not. ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' 'Not to mention I had to work and it was 25 here today and getting colder tomorrow! But I did it for you!

:cool10:Great Lowell! Patsy and I quit last year Dec.18 2006. We told no one(in case we failed). But we have been smoke free for a year now. I was buying 4to 5 cartons a week for the 2 of us. It is amazing how much easier to breathe it is now! Not always coughing, can walk to the end of my driveway without stopping and gasping for air. Now, I did gain a pants size:rotf:But I am going to work on getting rid of that this year. Hang in there Lowell I promise it will get easier every day.Good luck friend!
