  1. No problem. I saw your other post about the brake problem and I agree it sounds like you need new fluid. I work retail so mostofmy riding is on Sundays but if you want to get together some day. I could show you around the N.Jawga mts. some. We(mama and me) usually ride with one or two other couples on a regular basis. Have you ever been to Fibbers Restruant in Cedar Bluff Al? It is great ! We could possibly meet around Rome or Cave Springs some time and ride if you want to. Let me know if intrested. Craig
  2. Venturedad is the simplest hitch to install and works very well. It is a reciever style hitch. You can get just the hitch or the hitch and stinger from him. Also if you go to Autozone you can get the Hoppy converter and wire it in with no problem. I would be glad to help you wire it in if you wanted to come on up to Calhoun.here is his website http://venturedad.com/ Good luck Craig

  4. Nashville,Tn. or Knoxville Tn. both have some great roads as well as touristy stuff if anyone is so inclined.
  5. How cool is that. Congrats to ya'll Brad. I bet your sorry you sold them parts now huh? Can't have em back tho:whistling:
  6. Go to Autozone get Valvoline 10w40 4 stroke motorcycle or ATV oil $3.99 a qt. It has specific wet clutch protection. I also use the Bosch 3300 or 3323 filter. The 3323 is just a little longer for more filtration. Been using in Angel since 02 after I had to have new clutch after using synthetic oil in her cause it made the clutch slip. Lots of folks use synthetics with no problem but I won't because of my experience with it. Good luck Craig
  7. :sign green with envWhere are the pics?
  8. Had a great ride Sunday, discovered a new road, and had wonderful weather. Pics are here http://picasaweb.google.com/cmlong55/HogJowlRide If you click on slide show it will scroll thru faster and pics are full screen. Craig
  9. Spear, When Angel gets to flying too low I have to deploy it to slow down. That is my cooler with 8 bottles of water for the long hot Jawja roads. You can't get too hydrated in this humidity! Lots cheaper to carry from home than to buy on the road.Just pour in a little propel & your good to go. It holds just enuff for a days ride.
  10. This is total invasion of privacy!
  11. I try to get to the Cherohalla at least a cuppla times a year. It is probley my mostest favorite road to ride--the ride getting there ain't half bad either. http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk364/rsvangel/July%204th%20Ride%202008/HPIM0759.jpg http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk364/rsvangel/July%204th%20Ride%202008/HPIM0762.jpg http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk364/rsvangel/July%204th%20Ride%202008/HPIM0767.jpg http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk364/rsvangel/July%204th%20Ride%202008/HPIM0768.jpg http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk364/rsvangel/July%204th%20Ride%202008/HPIM0793.jpg http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk364/rsvangel/July%204th%20Ride%202008/HPIM0813.jpg If you ever get down this way just give a shout. I can show you all some roads that ain't been discovered by most riders yet--but are awesome to ride!

Ya'l be safe Craig
  13. I just replaced my WWW404 rear 3 weeks ago with 13809 miles on it. I am still running the front tire which I replaced at the same time last year. I was going to keep running the front one longer then but decided to go both at once because the front one had been patched. I am thinking I'll be able to go the rest of the summer at least before I'll need to change out my front one---probly will get at least 18000 out of it. We will see. I like the look of the WWW on my bike so it will continue to be the d404 for me. http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk364/rsvangel/CraigPat_sm.jpg
  14. If anyone is going to do the Blue Ridge /Dalhonaga Ga run on Hwy 60 thru Suches just a little warning here. Bee very careful! The DOT has been hard at work throwing down "Tarsnakes" . I'm not just talking a few squiggleys ever once and a while. I'm talking a lot in every curve making the bike verrrrry squirrley. It was 94 as we were going thru there last sun. and it was downright scary. I have ridden this road many many times and always loved it but no mre for me for a while. It really seems to me like they put so much down to possibly slow down or stop the crotch rockets from flying thru there. I just wanted to give a warning:no-no-no:
  15. Great pics ya'll. I talked to Don Roden(bamayama) today and he told me he had seen ya'll. I think I got it figgured out who has a new bike. And congrats are in order. Craig
  16. Yeeeehaw ---she is a beautiful baby Clay. Congrats to ya'll --now let the spoilin'begin.! Craig
  17. Looks good Brad. I'm glad ya'll were able to find a good ride. If all you needed was 2 wheels to ride you a while --well you found it. I know you'll be back to the lighter side again when you are able. Meanwhile enjoy and take good care of Lonna.Don't let her overdo it:bighug:
  18. Garfield on the oil crisis http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=581d97e462&attid=0.1.0.1&disp=emb&view=att&th=118e341e9904b0fc A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country. ~~~ Well, there's a very simple answer. ~~~ Nobody bothered to check the oil. ~~~ We just didn't know we were getting low. ~~~ The reason for that is purely geographical. ~~~ Our OIL is located in ~~~ ALASKA ~~~ California ~~~ Coastal Florida ~~~ Coastal Louisiana ~~~ Kansas ~~~ Oklahoma ~~~ Pennsylvania and Texas ~~~ Our DIPSTICKS are located in Washington , DC!!! ? Any Questions??? NO? Didn't think So. http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=581d97e462&attid=0.1.0.2&disp=emb&view=att&th=118e341e9904b0fc Have a good day!
  19. :cool10:Lookin good there fer sure!
  20. Froggy, No I got it from a local contractor. It is a peice of galvinized pipe 4ft acrossX24 in. tall. I dug it in 12 in. And got the rock from Home Depot. My son/nlaw welded up the bench frames and mounted the 2x6's on them for me. I dug the holes and planted the benches in concrete. It will be a good place to burn small limbs, and stuff as we clean up the winter debris, as well as having our cookouts there.I still got some stuff to do too. Hang in there sunny days will soon be there. Then you will get to be really busy on them "honeydews" Hope you get your saw soon:cool10: Craig
  21. ,Here ya go,this is my new marshmallow/hotdog roasting area. Froggy-eat yore heart out :rotf:I finished mine 1st. Mamo said you need to hurry up! http://mail.google.com/mail/?attid=0.6
  22. Kit, and also Eck, Thanks for this post. I have ridden a lot of group rides in the past also. Some good- some horrific. That being said let me reply to this. At the Vogel ride 2 yrs ago it was really not a good group ride. Why? Because as you pointed out no consideration was given to skill levels. The group was broken up by redlights before even getting out of Blairsville. Then the pace was too fast for anyone to even think of catching up. Soo I ended up kinda "leading" a group of 8-10 bikes till the first rest stop. It got a little better till the next gas stop but then kinda got broken up again. I was closer to the front but when we hit the "twisties" going over the last mt. b4 Helen the pace was again a little to fast for group riding. When I dragged my mufflers and mama got ready to 'either slow down or let me off" I pulled over to the rt. lane and started waving folks on around. I was only "keeping up" and had I been alone I wouldnt' have slowed down. But later at the motel some folks admitted that they were uncomfortable with the pace but didn't want to be trouble makers. I decided that I would not go on the "Dragon" run the next day with the group tho for this very reason.I can tell you that there were some others who decided to not go for the same reason. Now before anyone thinks I'm "picking" I'm not--just pointing out facts. I have ridden other rides since then with folks from here and I ride my own ride now. If you want to fly, come on by and I'll see you at the other end of the ride. If I am alone with just a cuppla of my buddies who I ride a lot with-I might go a little too fast. But in a large group with mama on back,we will most times be back with the tail gunner. When I lead a group I try to keep a speed that will allow most to be comfortable and when we hit the twisties I always let folks know they need to single file ride their own ride.Safety is the main priority in group rides. And as has been already pointed out not everyone is as experienced as they want to be. I remember the 1st time we rode with 6 other bikes as a couple. I was nervous as a cat. I was constantly watching in front and behind--scared I might wobble-and cause a wreck -or not get stopped quick enuff and hit the guy in front. I knew 1 person in that group and he kept saying "your doing fine" but by the time we got home that evening I was wore out from nerves. It wasn't fun --and it was a long time b4 I rode in a group of more than 3. Now I ain't as nervous, but still cautious. Ok off my box now. Luv ya'll Craig
