  4. Brad, If they want to park in N Ga. I am 2 mi. off I 75 exit 313. I don't have room in my driveway but I have a 34 ft. shed in the back of the house that is empty since I sold my 5th wheel camper.Welcome to it. That would go for any member in fact. Craig
  5. I bought one from them 3 yrs ago at the Honda Hoot. It is a good cover for travel. Rolls up in a small ball and has it's own bag for storing. It is a 1/2 cover but keeps the seats dry on an overnighter in a motel.I got mine for a "show special" last day of the hoot price of $30.00 Well worth the price. Good luck Craig
  6. Hey Mini My daughter and son/nlaw brought their wii down to our house. The golf is ok but the tennis is cool too. Patsy was playing tennis against our snl and really got into the game. She lunged for a ball -- swung her backhand hard. -----And knocked our dog off the arm of the chair where she was laying. Talk about a suprised look on a dogs face. If you get into the tennis game just have lots of room to move and put the small dogs out b4 you "knock em out"
  7. That really sucks Brad. Glad ya'll weren't hurt any worse. Hope you have a speedy recovery!
  8. Santa left me a new video camera! Now I just gotta figure the best way to mount& the best place to buy. Ya'll can help. Thanks /n/advance!

  10. To all the great folks on this site. Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year! I hope everyone is able to spend some quality time with their families! Got to get to bed now so santa will come!
  11. Say it ain't so! Honda Hoot 2009 Canceled Due to Economic Uncertainty 12/19/08 Torrance, CA: American Honda announced today that the 2008 Honda Hoot will bring to a close 15 years of what has been one of the most successful motorcycle rallies in history. Over the years, almost a quarter of a million guests attended the Honda Hoot which was born in the hills of Ashville North Carolina and eventually moved to Knoxville, Tennessee. At the first event, a little over 3000 attendees enjoyed what would grow to become one of the largest rallies in North America The Hoot set new precedence for what a motorcycle rally should be, offering not only a wonderful opportunity to test ride new products but also focusing on family fun and growing the industry from the ground up. Based on the current economic crunch which may have significant impact on our customers during 2009, American Honda will take this time to seek out new and innovative ways to engage with our customers so that we can continue to ride together. American Honda extends our deepest gratitude to the more than 1,300 volunteers who helped make the Honda Hoot a success and to all our event sponsors, to our two host cities, Knoxville, Tennessee and Asheville, North Carolina, and especially to all the good people who helped make the Hoot such a great event. http://www.hondahoot.com/index.aspx?bhcp=1
  12. If they had set it all up properly the 1st time they wouldn't be haveing to redo it. It is a warrenty issue which they have to honor like it or not. I think the 07's have had a lot more problems than most years. Everything from this winsheild thing down to the amps in the stereo doing funky stuff. Stay on top of em till they get it right or invoke the "Lemon law" on em

God bless you, your daughter, wife,& grandkids. I can also relate to where your coming from. My parents divorced when I was a baby. I grew up in a home where my stepdad was abusive to both my mother and myself. If he wasn't drinking he wasn't too bad and I could just stay outta his way. When he came in from the VFW on FRi or Sat nite it was time to get out and head for my grandmothers house.(Thank God for loving Grandparents). Ive had clothes piled up and set on fire-been beaten black and blue, and been scared for my life,as a child. But thankfully the Lord saw me thru. When I married it was as much to get out of that house as much as anything. I was very close to the same road myself but,the Lord got me out of it. Just keep on loving them grandbabies, and being there for your daughter. Believe me they will always remember it.
  14. Hey Rick, Good luck with the new to you bike. I'm too far south to be able to help with a relay or ride with you a while this time. Looks like you are getting another peach of a deal tho.! Ride safe, Craig
  15. :bawling:Thank you for posting.
  16. They looked like this last weekend in TN & NC on our 08 Leaf run http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk364/rsvangel/HPIM1007.jpg , http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk364/rsvangel/HPIM1011.jpg , http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk364/rsvangel/HPIM1024.jpg , http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk364/rsvangel/HPIM1047.jpg , http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk364/rsvangel/HPIM1010.jpg It was a great weekend of riding with friends!
  17. This week has been a great improvement in the gas situation here in North Ga. It is still running around 3.75 to 4.20 in most areas but the lines are fewer. Deisel is around the same as regular gas now suprisingly. Next weekend we are going to take a trip up to the Smokies since Patsy's gas bubble from her eye surgery is finally gone and she can go to the higher elevations without danger. I don't anticipate a lot of problems with getting gas now.
  18. Here ya go. Angel is proof that Squidley can put em in !:duck:I had to go hide my eyes till he got finished, but it all worked out good!
  19. Dave, They just said on Fox5 that this thing could last another cuppla weeks:doh: The thing is you never know who might have gas for a few hrs. and who dosen't. It is stretching at least to Chattanooga Tn to the north--and all around Atlanta. From what I have seen S. Ga. has no problems. If you are in cage I would try to fill up somewhere that would allow me to get thru Atlanta area. Then I'd try to not get below 1/2 tank b4 looking to fill again. Mite be kinda agravating but better safe than out of gas on side of road.
  20. Hopefully all the gas crap will get fixed during this week. We rode to Rome this evening and saw 3 places that had gas availible. The lines were long to get into them. We were able to get some gas for Patsy's car yesterdy morning on the north end of Calhoun. She can make it to work and back all week now,and mabe the crises will be over. We are not gonna be doing a lot of extra driving during the week. I am riding my bike to work every chance I get. I can't always do it but when I can it really helps. I still think it sux the way the oil co. can just tighten the screws when they want to.
  21. I had to help out in our store in Dalton Ga. yesterday. I was on my way home and stopped to gas up my bike. As I was getting my gas a lady came out of the store, with a handful of bags. "We are out of gas", she said. I got my gas completely pumped but the car next to me only got 3 gallons in. When I got home I saw on TV that places all over the Atlanta, metro area were out of gas also. I took my wifes car and was going to go ahead and fill it up for her at my regular store on my route to work. I pulled up- slid my card-pumped in a nickles worth and bam they were out of gas. There were bags on all the pumps at the other 4 stores between there and home so she is stuck with a 1/2 tank of gas. Hopefully she will be able to get some by Tues. because that 1/2 tank will only take her to work and back 2&1/2 days! The police chief in Athens Ga. was advising people that were planning on coming to the UGA-Al. football game to not come if they couldn't make the round trip on 1 tank of gas. My daughter and son/nlaw were already on their way to the game. She called me from just east of Athens and said that from her house in Dalton,to where they were then only 3 places they had passed had any gas and the lines were way down the street and police were directing traffic. It is ridiculous to be afraid to go more than a tank away from home for fear of running out of gas. Sorry I just had to vent!
  22. Quote (The Venture is a bike that usually attracts physically large male metric riders.) I think he just called me fat:nanner:
  23. I have the ones from Star/Yamaha. They are good for the lower legs but nothing really helps on the flow between the upper and lower fairing. Another feller once said he uses the knee pads like carpet layers use and they keep his knees warm in winter. Good luck Craig
  24. The hoppy works fine and you can pick one up at your local Autozone for less than $20.00. It will work with any system that has separate amber turn signals-which is what our bikes have.
  25. Don, I have looked for a good easy quick resizer program for my Vista powered craptop and think you have done it again.:thumbsup2:Thank you it works great. Craig:big-grin-emoticon:
