Called today to order my Russell Day Long seat for the RSV and was told the build date is April 23rd!!!! And it will take 2 to 3 weeks to get it built!!!! The RDL seat is built on the OEM seat pan so my bike would be without the seat until it gets back. This creates a big problem. I have a trip scheduled for May 1st and it won't be done by then. I should have ordered this seat a month ago, but...... Anyhooo, I was wondering if anyone had a stock seat they are not using that I could borrow, trade, or buy. If you would like to trade, I will send in your seat for the RDL conversion and then send you my Butt Butler modified, OEM (non-PillowTop), studded seat once the RDL is done. For the borrow, I will send in my seat and use yours for the May ride. Once the RDL shows up, I will send your seat back to you. Would have it back to you by mid-May. Of course, I will cover shipping (or come get it from you if you happen to be in WI). Thanks, RR

Any chance that I could find a old seat or something from a wrecked bike to use the Pans to send to Daylong ? I don't want to part with my original. thnx Wade

I have an 2006 RSTD Pearl White 48k "DarkSider" and lov it. But I keep reading about 1st an 2nd Gen on the Bikes?? Where does it start and stop? What is the Different??? Soon as I get a good Camara I will send sum pic's. -
some one post a auction site today. Now I can't find it . I was looking at some of the 5th wheels. They had a couple of $75,000 rigs with bad floors. The high bid on one of them was $500. It's beautiful since we don't get much snow around the Raleigh, NC area but it sure cuts into riding. It's been cold around here but I've been on a number of Patriot Guary missions; you can't go in this stuff. I guess you guys up north laugh at us down here but what can I say. Spring is just around the corner. Hope everyone is safe and warm; I don't send many threads but I don't have a lot to do right now. I did get my stebel air horn in but am waiting on the bracket to install. Can't wait to blow out the windows in the garage.

I don't do many post here but have enjoyed reading post and getting a wealth of knowledge from this site. Here is my story. I had purchased an LED tail light from an individual on ebay. I got the light about a week after I payed for it. Tried it on the bike and the running light would not work but the brake light would. I knew that the seller would not give a refund but thought I would contact the seller and see if he had any suggestions. I tried the things he suggested and the light still didn't work. I emailed him back that these suggestions didn't work. He then told me to send it back and he would send me another one. I did send it back with a tracking # so I know he go the light. Even received several emails on why he had not sent the light back. Then when the 45 days had pasted to file a complaint on ebay. I didn't receive any more response from the emails I sent him. All my email correspond was done through ebay. I only payed $32.00 for the light and shipping, plus the cost of sending it back to the seller. So it not like I'm out a fourtune. Just wanted to vent. Here is the ebay member login.... 2009mamasitabrb. Not recomended as someone to buy from. I thought I had the name and address of this person but have missed placed. A few members were asking about crash bar bottle holders (like HD make) and CMike even contacted Troy (a member) about it, only to find he had to have surgery! I have emailed Prozak and he is fine now, after having his gall bladder removed. He would be happy to make these holders for VR members BUT he doesn't have crash bars on his bike!! If someone here could send him a rear crash bar so that he could get measurements that would be a great help. I have a 2 piece cable for a J&M headset. It is the 5 pin style...the ends where the cables join together is shaped like a D. Works, but not a new cable by any means. No bare wires showing, etc. If you need it, send me a pm, first one to speak up gets it. It's yours for a $5 donation to VR.O.

Well folks, Eileen got home last Friday and things are starting to calm down a bit now. I tell you though, we REALLY need a couple of days for ourselves now and we are going to try to take it this weekend. I will be away from the computer for a few days so as difficult as it may be, please TRY to be good. I have contemplated changing my user name, but the one I am interested in is taken by someone else. But, given the changes in our member status now, I doubt if he is even a supporting member. He joined in August 06. His last activity was back in April 09 and during this whole time, he has a total of 3 posts and I can not get any of them to come up. Should I try to send him a PM, as he has no other contact data available, or just consider him as history? Enquiring minds want to know, and I am probably not the only one with this thought. RandyA
