Progressive isn't going to respond to an email when they have no information. I asked VGoose to send me his brothers name and or policy number and I will personally get a vice president of claims on the phone and let him log onto the web site under my name and read the responses about the claim. But without the policy number there is no way anyone from progressive can look at the claim and see what happened. I have met many of the people in the motorcycle department including the product manager for all of the united states and they stay in touch with me to find out how progressive stacks up in the market in my area. They also are constantly asking me what they can do to help me sell more progressive motorcycle insurance. I would love to have the information about this claim so I can tell them the way the claim was handled certainly doesn't help me or anyone else sell more progressive insurance. But if you aren't going to do something about it but complain to the people on this web site nothing can be done.

fuse box for head light??

I have an 85 vr that the fuse box sits on the battery and the fuse for the headlight have a broken clamp for the fuse does any one have a fuse box for sell or know where to get a replacement ?? thanks for the assist. -
Do to recent events, I'm having to sell my baby:crying: I'm Fighting Pneumonia again, My Dad had another Heart attack the other day . We had Hail damage couple weeks ago did over 15,000 in damage to both houses and Peg Monte Carlo. So Peg said I need to quit Walmart and spend more time with my family and stay with one job due to my health having not been the best in the world guess only getting 3hrs asleep at night maybe a factor too. Plus my doctor told me to slow down!! So if I do I will have to sell my baby. Peg is all torn up for having to sell the Wing but she rather have me around for some time to come. So I have put my baby on E-Bay #300298498634 for sale if you know someone looking for a good Gold Wing. Everybody that knows me & my Wing Knows I spoil it rotten. The guys were picking on Snarly Bill & me when we were cleaning our Gold Wings (twins)after a ride in a rain storm in Eureka Springs last Sept 2008. Since I'll be quiting Walmart I will have more time to ride to M&E - Maintenance day and other get together on my 83 Venture. Buddy

I have 2006 Midnight Venture with a broken CB Antenna, is there anywhere I can get a replacement antenna besides the dealer, they want $180.00 for a replacement. I don't use the CB, however I may want to sell the bike, and the original equipment antenna would be needed. Thanks

Baron's Bag Slash Slip-On Exhaust Paid $350.00 will take $250.00 plus shipping. These were only on the bike for about a month and are still in new condition. Driver Backrest This can be seen in my profile photo. It attaches to the bike with no modification and can be removed with no tools. Paid $150.00 will take $100.00 plus shipping. Cycle Sounds Speakers Paid $350.00 will sell for $200.00 plus shipping. Google Cycle Sounds and check them out. They work great if you are using stock exhaust but I would not recommend them if you will be adding loud pipes. Well my project is well underway of painting the RSV. All is well except for one mishap. Does anyone have a left front speaker grill that they can sell me. Mine cracked during prep for paint.

well the time has come that i have had to make the big discision, to sell all my bikes. i have a v-star 1300, 1800 gold wing, yamaha majesty scooter, and a zx-1400 kawasaki to sell. just turned 66 and it's time i face the fact that i'm not as young as i thought i was. so i have decided when i turn 75 i will have to part with them. horrors. so i am getting a list together of people who will be interested. now this is what you do when you come down with cabin fever. snarley bill

it has been decided that we are going to have vendors at the 2009 rally. danob11 is in charge of the vendors. by vendors we we mean outside venders and people on the site that have items they have to sell or that they make and sell. i was thinking of having a swap meet area where people could put items that are bike related. to sell or trade. whats everyone think of this idea? bill

Well I think I will be selling my Freebird center stand. No problem with it except that I just dont use it. Every time I use my lift adapter I have to take it off and then put it back on. The other night I took it off and thought when was the last time I used it and figured it out that I just should sell it to someone who will use it. Im asking 100.00 plus shipping. I have even had it powder coated so it looks pretty in gloss black. If someone is interested PM me. I will sell to the first poster or PMer as per the time stamp on the post or PM.

Does a Markland hitch off an 84 fit on a 1987 VR? There is an 84 takeoff on eBay and I have been looking for a hitch for my 87. Anybody have one they want to sell? Thanks

Who in their right mind would spent this much money for a 1stGen tool kit. I keep seeing these things being listed on Ebay and it never ceases to amaze me what they sell for. Especially since you could probably build one with nicer tools for less.... TOOL KIT

Well its the end of the riding season, and I said I would give my HD a riding season to see how I like it. Well I decided to sell it, gather my thought (and some cash) and go back to the Venture. I was going to change the oil last night and noticed that my CB antenna was broke in half at the plastic part. Couldn't tell till you looked at it. Cant believe that it didn't fall off on the highway or sometime during my travels. Anyway, does anyone have a stock one laying around that they would like to sell? Dale

You know how you go to swap meets and there is nothing but Harley Parts. I had a thought that it might be interesting to organize some regional swap meets where we could get together to buy, sell and trade Venture parts. Maybe they could be organized around well attended meet & eats and maybe held on a quarterly or bi-annually basis. I just throwing out a feeler to see how much if any interest there would be. My selfish motivation is that I have a lot of 1st Gen parts I'd to sell or trade. What do you think?

I just posted some parts and accessories from my 90 VR in the classifieds. There's some good stuff there and it's all in very good shape. In case anyone wants to know, yes, I still have the bike. The buyer backed out and Ebay didn't go far enough. It's still for sale but it's back to stock except for the Progressive springs, stainless steel brakelines and spinon filter. Still a nice ride just minus a few things. Couldn't sell it as a package so I'll sell what I can now and sell the bike in the spring.

In todays economy if you want a job,loan,insurance,etc. It all may depend on your credit worthiness. Do you know your score? Here is an interesting comparison by state. Hey guys, I just got my 2007 back from the shop having some new plastic put on it because of my recent accident. It looks great and runs even better but I'm thinking about selling it and getting a jeep. 2007 Yamaha Venture(midnight and raven) with a few extras including new bub's exhaust from the engine all the way back. It has 14,000 miles. I also have a Cyclemate Zephyr trailer that I bought about 4 months ago and it's been pulled about 7-800 miles and it's the top of the line for Cyclemate. It's black gel coat and has a spoiler with bumper plus pad on front of trailer. If I sell it I want to sell it all together as a unit. It looks great!!! Eddie Flinchum 1-859-749-0181

I have a friend looking for a CDI box for an 87' Venture. I found one for a 1200 on Ebay, and several parts on the classifieds here but he isn't sure or not if it will work. Anyone have an old one laying around to sell or know if the 1200 one will work? I'm not too familiar with the 1st Gens. Thanks, Curt
