I guess scamming isn't limited to Ebay. I've been looking for a new or nearly new Tahoe and found a nice sounding deal on Autotrader with the truck advertised to be in Huntington, WV. I emailed a couple of questions last night and tried calling today, number not working should have been my first clue. This evenging I get the following email response which didn't answer either of my questions. Needless to say I provided him a few words in response. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hi Dennis, The car is still for sale. The asking price is $28,800. It is located in Belleair Beach, FL and the VIN is 1GNFK13078R247309. The car is registered on my name and the title is clear (no lien). It is in great condition, no dents or scratches. It was always garaged and the regular maintenance was done in time. It wasn't involved in any accident and has never suffered any kind of damage. Also this is a non-smoker car. If you have any questions regarding the car or you want extra photos or the CARFAX report (for free) just let me know! I'm a pilot on cargo flights. My wife broke up with me recently because I'm always away from home. We just sold our house and split the money. This is the last thing I need to sell and split the money with her. Because I'm away most of the time I will not be able to deal in person. But I've already arranged the shipping and the title transfer anywhere in the US. I will pay the shipping fees. I want the payment to be handled by MSN Autos. They will keep the money until you will receive and inspect the car. You will have 7 days of inspection period. I must have had a worse day...just cannot remember it now. As I was winching the 87 VR up on the Volvo semi for the trip to the Rio Grande Valley for the winter I slipped on the ramp and lost my balance which resulted in a drop test from about 2.5 feet. It landed on the right handlebar which bent severely and main fairing which cracked in several places. I guess my stupidity will cost me 5$? Not to mention much more than that in plastic repairs. Does the stupid fund accept Paypal? I have a spare handlebar but need another right fairing and the parts that hold the speaker and a right front turn signal. I'll be monitoring ebay but wondered if any here had spares for sale. Thanks. Larry -

Recently, I had started putting together a mobile garage. I did this for 2 reasons, sooner or later I will be leaving Wainwright for home, with a bunch more stuff, than I arrived here with... This will also give me a dry place, to work on scoots, back on the wet coast. I took 3 pics today, of the setup work done over the last 3 weekends, since getting the trailer. I will be adding more lights, but CDN Tire was out of the ones, I'm using over the workbench (which is roughed in but not finished). The tool box is bigger than what I was going to put in. But with the current sale price, I couldn't really pass it up. $1,000. normally, $625. Sale price + additional $350 Bonus card, to get more goodies. So I figure $275 for the tool box, I'm grabbing it, besides I was eyeing it for about 1.5 years.......... :mo money:

While out riding yesterday, a guy aproached me and asked if I would be interested in a 2003 midnight venture royal star With 13,000km on it. I think he said he would like 12,000 CDN for it but I am not 100% sure. In any case I told him I would post it on our web site. I also gave him my e-mail address so he could send me some pics. His reason for parting with it is that he went back to a sport bike, that the venture was just too tame for him ( he should have got a 1st gen). This camper is for sale around the corner from me. We set it up halfa** so you could see it. He said it was a timeout, but I don't think it is. He doe's not know what yr. it is but has a video about it and the set up instructions. The first time I looked at it he said to make him an offer. This time he said $700.00. It does need some TLC but seems to be in good shape. There is a small hole in both door flaps that could be easily fixed. All the zippers are in good shape as well as the netting. He said it doesn't leak, but don't know when he used it last, the canvas looks and feels good, doesn't seem to be rotten or anything. Under the wood floor is storage and you can put a pole in the wood to use it as a table inside the camper. You use an air mattress to sleep on. I think that if a seller post an ad. it should go to the main menu (home) like the rest of the post do. then it will fall off with in a day. right now as it stands nobody has a clue if a member posts anything for sale or not. Not sure where to post this. My 05 Venture fell over in the toyhauler this weekend, crack and scratch the outer fairing. I was wonder if anyone had one to sell or know of one for sale yamaha silver color would be nice.

I stopped by a garage sale a few weeks ago not to far down the road from me when I saw a blue MKII for sale in the yard. It wasn't in the greatest shape. Been left outside for a while. Paint fading, clear coat flaking in spots, etc. But it could've cleaned up with some TLC. Don't know how well it ran. Thought about taking it for a test ride till I was told they wanted $4000 for it. I said, "Whatever!", and left. Am I wrong to think that $4000 is way to much for a bike like this? I figured it might be worth somewhere in the range of $2000-$2500. What is a MKI or MKII in excellent condition worth? If it belongs to someone here... no offence.
