    on our 84 two trip from mi to hanibal mo the same fuel milage 38 round trip loaded with wife in rains and heavy winds and me horsen aroung alot!!!!!!!!!!!! looked at the air filter at all ? ? but listen to squigley he is real sharpp on these bikes.........

    isnt this a great group of people .. always willing to help , give advise , sharing there past problems that they toghter have solved the many little gliches with these bikes.......cant wait to be able to meet some of them......... at the michigan ridein .........

    you did good ..... emts would have had to pic him up....he got hurt in the crash......ha ha........im sure u gave him very sobering talk......some people cant drink in moderation and stay in a normal stat of mind.......course some people aint in a normal stat of mind all the time.........

    anyone that may be intersted I found a 83 vr1200 plain gold on gold needs work ......seat..paint..left side or faring cracked ..lower farings broken..has radio.air ride..engine roled over not nuf to start batt low 300--400 would buy it i just needed headlight cover turn lens sorry i didnt have camera ill take one with me tommrow

    for what ever reason... a lot of the shops are like that unless u give them a list.......with large print they cant see it. then even if they said they did it u better double check before paying the bill.......when we bought our bike the shop was supposed to change -all fluids- not just the oil..... they didnt change the gear lube..coolant..brake..or clutch fluids or the oil filter......they just dumped the oil.....and refilled.....and it was on the sales writeup--------I was not a happy camper and let them know it:mugshot:

    coils do fail under high heat ,. on bikes, its the heat soak that kills them or a nice high pressure car wash ,. as a friend found out tonight dont drive them 23miles than go to washing.......the coils spaz and die......at 160 to 170 on the gague after a 49 mile drive stop the bike feel the heat.....with no air movment the coils get a very through baking so why shouldnt they die. if the engine fan could be on a 3min timer that would greatly cooldown under tank temps ! ! Im sure bosh has a relay type switch,. just have to find how to wire them in,. take a laszor temp reading after you ride next time just after shut down than two min later you will be surprized at the diff on a 85 deg day:178:

    people have no respect for one another nowdays ..everyones lives day to day off the little income we do get , there are no jobs secure like it used to be , if you showed up , did your job , you could work there as long as you wished,... now everyone that has these issues takes it out on anyone they can find ..dosent matter if your in a car ,on a bike ,in a truck, or eating dinner with your family if someone is looking to strike out,... we are all targets.....in the wrong place at the wrong time.......the big companys and the goverment have screwed this country into the ground along with the people...... there is no reason for fuel to be the price it is at all !!!!!!!!!!! or insurance .,auto home or healthmany of lose our jobs for no good reason or we are hired thru a temp company,,, to be worked 90 days than let go. or with out warning your insurance has been droped...thats todays big companys. we had a war in this country over tax on tea,, 1/4 cent now theres multiple taxes on everything we use ..we dont have a vote on the matter its pay up or else.....and if anyone stands up or speeks out .watch out this used to be the land of the free not much anymore....in some countys if u have a garden you get taxed on that. the goverment will get it one way or another. looked at your utilities bill latley ...what a spanking......the older people ive been talking to keep saying we are in for bad times.... that this great country is going to fall and fall hard they keep saying this is just the start................we wonder why people go nuts

    when i have been changing my oil & filter i use the full gallon ,,that puts it 3/4 up the window,... that not right ? ? ? seems to line up with the mark.......

    looks clean ....wolf in sheeps clothing ? local kid has one he lowered it shaved the lights put on 8 spot leds that are much brighter than stock..... .it is a tire fryer he cut 1/3 the baffles out sounds great...had the carbs fixed. when he stands on it, its sounds so good,, and hauls a-- ! he doesnt even try .....it will light the tire no issues.........

    great pic i toook a few when i was out there in my truck but they didnt look as good as yours,, great job that was quite a ride.how many days ? we did 1400 this weekend,.... forgot the camera.........opps.
