  5. What year R1 Calipers can we use and are they a direct Bolt-on?? Saw some not long ago but passed on them. Couldn't remember years that fit.
  6. I grabbed this thing because I had to have something to get around while Insurance companies decided what they were going to do. Still waiting on them. I may fix it if I can. I should just trade it but I have a hard time doing that. FrogMan is right. These days it is " Do unto others before they Do unto YOU!!!" What do you get for breaking Lot Owners nose?? Anyone know where you can get the rocker panels??
  7. Don't know why I thought 85. That is a 84 color. Still looks good. Little high for 84 that could have bad frame and 2nd gear to go.
  8. I found it and the pipe I broke off. Don't ask me how don't want to talk about it. OK got tangeled up with crutches and it BROKE my fall. You can probally stick it back on to get angle of the thing. All this one needed was finish taking baffles out and closed back up. PM address?? Or on here which ever.
  9. I talked to PV and he told me they repaired rust place over rear wheel on that side. I'm thinking if they got in to there to do that they knew about the rest of it. I figure I'm stuck but just really ticked that I paid 4000.00 bucks for this thing. If I hadn't been on crutches at the time I might have caught it but I doubt it. It doesn't show til you try to jack it up. If I traded like that I couldn't sleep. No place for a honest man in this world.
  10. He has a pic of the trunk in there. Must be a repaint I thought all 85's were Brown. Looks Good.
  11. GREAT NEWS Mini. THANKS DAVID!! Knew you were good for something!!! I found my Cloud Mini. You don't have to worry now!!
  12. My black cloud is still hanging around I guess. As most of you know I lost my daily ride and trashed the clutch in my Saab. Anyway I was stuck without transportation. Stopped at car lot and grabbed a 2002 Tarus that seemed to run fair. It was dirty. I cleaned it up and it has scratches and stains all over. To make it worse the Warden (trying to help) washed it whith a plastic abrasiave pad and Soft Scrub. Now it does have scratches all over. That is not my problem she was trying to help and just didn't know what she was doing. They could probally be buffed out. My problem is I drove it for over 2 months. Had no reason to jack it up tires are good and it runs as good as a new one. Started making a thumping in the rear when you hit a bump the right way. So I looked under it and one of the pins that connect the rear strut to the sway bar was rusted into. No big deal I stopped at the parts store and picked one up to replace it. Body wise this thing looks good except for all the scratches. I started to jack it up to replace the pin. Jack went against plastic trim that runs along the rocker panels where it is supposed to go. Jack went up thur rocker panel and car didn't go up . Several handfulls of rust fell out from under the trim. I stopped and didn't go any farther before jack came thru floorboad. Question is did I just pay 4000.00 bucks to have a car for 2 months. Car lot owner's assistant promised they would call me back. Hasn't happened and I don't think he will unless he wants me to pay for anything they do to this thing. Didn't mean to write a book just a little ticked with this and thought someone would know what I ought to do. I was liking the Tarus and it runs great. Not as powerfull as my Buick and not as good on gas milage but I just got in a hurry and grabbed something with wheels on it. Thought I had gotten lucky for a change. NOPE!! This rust was complletly hidden by the trim. Is the car lot owner legal obligation to help me with this?? There was a 1000 mile or something like that power train warrenty. Trip to beach took care of that.
  13. I think I have one that could work for that but has one of the front pipes broken off. Let me look today and see what I have.
  14. I'm kind of with Carl on this one. I think I would use the better grabbing pads on just the front brake and use the same type on the linked ones. I really like a good feeling front brake.
  15. Whats a Mini-Muffin cost???:rotfl:
  16. Sounds like something has to be out with the valves. Don't it always work like that?
  17. I was going to mention that 1st Gens already have these but I'll be quiet!!
  18. Yeah if I don't run the brush over it a couple times that white shows thru...
  19. I do like that big V-4 and would like to see them do some things to it but guess it ain't gonna happen. Fuel Injection Another gear CD Player Better brakes Back to 1200 power would be done with extra gear and changing ratio of lower ones and fuel Injection. The stuff dreams are made of.
  20. Good one George. Should be a winter time list for these (more mature) bikes!
  21. Annie the ride was in Victoria. Haven't go to read it yet. But it claims Melbourne was settled by Batman!! Bats do hang upside down!! Summer months from November to Feburary is one thing I'm jealous of though. Could we have a Meet & Eat at you place for those months?? I do hope you are feeling better.
  22. Place near here has my favorite food. A BIG greasy burger with everything on it that I can't hardley get rid of. With fries it is too much. And that don't happen often.
  23. I got a (6) spring set and outer plate from the dealer here. When I tried to install the spring I could not compress them enough to get the screws started. Added the washers to mine and it will pick front wheel up. How to install those heavy springs?
  24. Over 19 for a venture?? Getting up there. Retirement check don't look that good.Another reason to get into my 1st gen parts.
