  1. Glad that took care of your problem.....synchronize in good health.
  2. Look to see if there are restrictors in the hoses. Without restrictors in the hoses the gauges will not get a smooth reading.
  3. Hmmm... I didn't notice that it was gone. Not very observant on my part....BUT.....it was a great day, good food, good ride, good friends. What more could one ask for!!
  4. I know....my '09 was very quiet. I was wondering what the whine thing was...now I know.
  5. Ok...I got the '07 RSV this morning. It's in great condition...only 10,000 miles on it. BUT.....it has the whine big time. I called my Yammy dealer and he checked and I'm good on warranty until 7-17-13. So I'm headed there tomorrow to see if I can get an I-basket ordered and installed. This bike seems to ride better than my '09 did....maybe it'll be a good one.
  6. Not totally true...... I traded off an '09 RSV for the Honda. If I could have found a Valk Interstate closeby that I could have gotten I'd have it instead of the RSV.
  7. I have to do some work on my lake house on Saturday.....but I think I'll be riding on Sunday.
  8. You're so right George...it never ends with me.
  9. I told the dealer that I'd give them my old Jaguar and my Valk for a blue/black '07 RSV. They called this afternoon and said that they'd take the deal. If the rain allows it I'll go in the morning and make the trade. The Jag needs some work and so does the Valk so I think I'll be coming out ahead.......until I start missing the Valkyrie again, then who knows what I'll do.
  10. I probably would have pasted the damned thing across his face and left him gasping for air. I usually think of the best solution AFTER I get myself in trouble.
  11. Prayers sent....such a tragedy.
  12. Prayers for your dad....hope that he fights off the infection and recovers soon.
  13. I totally agree....... from an old FMF doc.
  14. My wife, kid and I went to NYC a couple of years ago for a 3 day visit. We drove up, stayed at a motel over in Bergen(I think), NJ and took a shuttle bus into the city every morning and back every night. We walked, rode the subway and bus around the city and had a great visit without worrying about parking or driving. We want to go back soon for another few days. I love NYC....used to live in the Bronx way back when...before the Ft. Apache days.
  15. I tried the CT on 2 different motorcycles. Both times I went back to the MC within 3000 miles. I like the concept, I just don't like the way they handle. They can get damned scary if you happen on a deeply rutted patch of road. I'll stick with motorcycle tires from now on. To those who run and like the CT.....good riding and enjoy your choice in tires.
  16. The Softails are nice.....they have the "B" motor, balanced and smooth. My friend just bought a Softail Deuce with the 103 Screamin Eagle motor. Very pretty bike...smooth and fast.
  17. When I had my '09 Venture I wanted to make it into a solo bike. I removed the trunk and found out that all the rear seat brackets and clips for the cb wiring are all spot welded to the fender. I had made my RSTD into a solo and the rear fender had no brackets so a fender rack bolted right on and looked great. I didn't like the way the RSV looked with a rear seat and no trunk so I put it back together like it came. If I were to buy another RSV and do it again I think I'd buy a used RSTD rear fender for it.
  18. Hoping to find a new bike that compares...so far I haven't, so I buy another Valk.
  19. Don't emergency vehicles have red or blue lights where y'all live? Some may have strobes in the front lights but they all have red or blue also here......that I've seen anyway.
  20. I am on my 4th Valk. I sell one, buy a new motorcycle and ride it for a few months then sell it and go back to a Valk. I haven't found anything to compare with the Valkyrie.
  21. I've been saying this for a long time. I am in full agreement with you....that's why they put a fairing on the Strat for '10...getting us used to seeing them before they install the trunk and call it a Venture.
  22. I have owned an '07 RSTD and an 09 RSV.....don't have either now.
  23. I'm on my 4th Valk. They do have 6 carbs but you don't have to synch them every time you turn around like on the RSTD and RSV. I put 114,000 miles on my '97 and synched the carbs once.
  24. I thought that I wanted an Ultra but after a good long test ride I decided that I couldn't stand the shakiness. However, the Heritage Softail rode really nice and pretty smooth. Too bad you can't get an Ultra with the B engine in it.
