  2. I owned a 2000 Nomad and loved it....fantastic bike. A couple of months ago I was going to trade my '07 RSTD so I test rode a great looking '09 Nomad. After about 10 miles of whine, clunking and vibrating I brought it back and went and traded for an '09 RSV. I totally hate that they are building everything on the V-twin bikes now. I'm afraid that Yamaha might do the same thing with the Venture.....build it on the Stratoliner. Just what we need ANOTHER V-twin ...... phooey. BTW, I also owned an '07 Strat for a short while. Just another v-twin....ho hum.
  3. He was a funny guy, that's for sure!
  4. Flat wound strings will help .....
  5. 86er...looks like you left the rack on the back. I was thinking of doing that and finding something to put on top to make it like a luggage rack.
  6. I asked myself the same question today. I told myself that I should have kept the RSTD and bought a fairing. It would have been about 6,ooo bucks cheaper. Live and learn....it's only money.
  7. The passenger seat would be off BUT....have you ever seen the crap on top of the RSV rear fender? It's not clean like an RSTD...spot welded brackets all over the thing. So...until I can do something about it the passenger seat has to stay on.
  8. You would take the passenger seat???
  9. It was a good bike, he may have missed a good deal. The passenger can face either way she wants to...sidesaddle even.
  10. Today I removed the trunk, etc from my RSV. Yamahamer was a big help getting me headed down the right path. I like the looks and REALLY like the way it handles now. Only electronics I lost was the CB which I don't use anyway. All in all I'm happy with the way it turned out. Now to figure how to get rid of the wires and brackets under the seat so I can make it a solo bike like I had my RSTD. Thanks Mark for guidance, you saved me a lot of headache.

  12. It's gotta come over the top either way you put it. Down the front is the way it should go....who don' know dat? lol

    New GPS

I bought a new Garmin Nuvi 765T and I have discovered that I like my old Nuvi 660 MUCH better. The only thing I like about the 765 over the 660 is the bluetooth. I will keep the 765 on the bike so I'll know when I get a phone call and put the 660 in the G8.
  14. Oops
  15. Beautiful bike! The red makes the seashell look good. Mine is seashell/black and I don't like it. Yours looks MUCH better.
  16. How would one put a driver's backrest on this seat?
  17. Which Corbin is it....and will it fit an '09 ?
  18. Rusty...did you buy that one that was for sale over in Ravenel?
  19. Isn't the Craftsman the same as a Sears?
  20. Do you have to split the fairing to use this cable or can it just plug into the input jack on the cassette face?
  21. I gotta come by one day and take that Max out for a spin.
  22. I am using Star Pegs on mine. They work just fine and are very inexpensive.
  23. I wanna hear more about using chickens and icecream....sounds beyond kinky.
  24. I'm going.... I plan on being at the rest area just south of Walterboro,SC (around the 47 mile marker) on I-95 around 9:30 Saturday A.M. if anyone wants to meet up there. I'll either be riding a seashell/black '09 RSV or driving a black '09 Pontiac G8.
