  1. If it gives you the service and pleasure that my 2000 Nomad gave me then you'll really enjoy the new one.
  2. Did ya see my black Stratoliner on the sales floor while you were there...a midnight with a trunk?
  3. A good dose of hamburger now and then would prolly help.
  4. Spray it down every 4 hours with Windex.
  5. They still have the Strat I traded for my RSTD too.

    It's over

So sorry for your loss. I lost my mom and my sister in the past year. Prayers for you and your family.
  7. I traded an '07 Stratoliner for my RSTD. This bike is QUIET in comparison. I thought the Strat was gonna bang and knock itself to pieces....noisiest bike I ever owned.
  8. A friend of mine was ready to trade his old Kaw Voyager and was jonesing for a Vision. He went to the dealer and test rode one. He hated the ergos and handling. When he took it back and told the dealer the dealer said for him to give the Kingpin Tourer a test ride. He bought that one on the spot and has praised it ever since. His wife who rides with him almost always doesn't care for it. She said that the Voyager was a lot more comfortable for her.
  9. I tried a car tire on 2 different Valkyries and went back to the bike tire both times. As much as I wanted to like the c/t I didn't like the overall handling. I felt like I was riding a new bike when I went back to the motorcycle tire. From now on I'll stick with a bike tire on my bikes and a car tire on my cars.
  10. My Keltecs are my main carry guns too. I have one in .32, .380, and 9mm.... love em. The .32 and .380 can go anywhere easily.
  11. + I put 240,000 on a '94 Toyota Celica and I my wife has 160,000 on her '02 VW Passat, still runs like a champ.
  12. I read somewhere...another forum maybe ... that all you had to do was to remove the vacuum hoses from the two carbs with them and cap them off. They said that the vacuum from these two carbs activated the AIS solenoids and with them capped that they were unoperable and didn't really have to be removed. Art
  13. Just wondering.... what does removing all that AIS stuff do to those of us who still have a warranty? Art
  14. I had cataract surgery in both eyes. First one took about 20 minutes and the second one about 35. Very easy surgery and a fast recovery. You'll love the way you see after it's done. Good luck with it. Art
  15. I had an '07 Strat that I traded for my RSTD. It was a beautiful bike....and comfortable to sit on. But I totally HATED the noisy, clanging, banging air cooled motor. I traded it with about 6,000 miles on it. I rode away happy on the TD.
  16. Balls aren't in question. I merely said that these bikes aren't that fast. A 'busa can eat a Venture without even breathing hard. There's always someone with bigger balls but bike for bike there's no comparison.
  17. Thank you George.
  18. Ok... I believe you.
  19. Right.
  20. ummm...yeah. 1st or 2nd gen....it still ain't a fast bike. Who cares if one big, slow touring bike can outrun another big, slow touring bike? If you want to go fast buy a fast bike.
  21. These bikes aren't fast. They run well for 1300s but they are far from fast.
  22. You are absolutely correct. I had my geography all messed up. Thanks for correcting me. I've eaten there but typed Arkansas without thinking.
  23. There's another one in Arkansas, not far from Pensacola, if it's still there.
  24. I haven't been to Lambert's in years. They have great food and the rolls are fantastic.
  25. They changed the new Voyager....now it's another V-twin, just like Harley, like Suzuki, like every other cookie cutter bike on the road. I had an '07 VTX 1800 and an '07 Stratoliner. I HATED the V-twin engine, especially the Strat. That air cooled pig sounded like it was going to knock and bang itself apart. To me, if my '07 RSTD had F.I and didn't have that big, ugly speedometer it would be the ideal bike for me. Art
