Hell Yes!!

I took a long test ride on a new Victory and wasn't impressed with it either. I was very glad to get back on my 13 year old Valkyrie. I had thought that the Vic might be my new bike but changed my mind right fast. Maybe if one is used to riding a V-twin then it would be a good ride. The CC sure is nice looking though.

I know what you mean, Ruffy. A couple of years ago I helpled a friend strip and re-shingle his roof......in Palatka, in July, with no trees for shade. I'd work about 20 minutes and go down, drink water, re-soak the towel around my head and go back up the ladder. Thankfully it only took us 2 days to do the job.

Left this morning for a ride. It was nice weather...warm and comfortable. On the way home the last 100 miles were too hot to ride. At least it was too hot on the Valkyrie. Damn, that thing can put out some heat. I don't remember the Valk being so hot last year, but I'm sure it was. It was 96 by my patio thermometer when I got home. If this is how summer is gonna be I might only ride at night.

Prayers for a good outcome at the doc, and for your pain to subside.

Prayers for Gunboat

Prayers for a quick recovery and minimal discomfort. -
I sure wish that my wife would let my 13 y/o daughter ride. She loves riding, the few times that she was allowed. She'd make a great riding companion.....sigh.

My condolences for your loss. I lost my Mom in '07 and you know what...... I miss her just as much today as I did then. Moms are special people always have a special place in your heart. Damn.....rain in my eyes..........

I bought a set from my local dealer...they weren't very expensive.

I think Honda tried fuel injection in '86 on the wing but it didn't work well so they went back to carbs until they came out with the 1800 in 2001.

Glad that she's ok and that she was saved from serious injury. Hold her tight and let her know that you're glad she's with you.

And someone's '50

I put a fuse block under the seat on my Valk. I used the 5v accessory wires to power a relay to send power to the fuse block. Now I have 6 fused taps that I can connect stuff to.

George, the black one was the Tourer...had hard bags. I could buy a set of those but OEM Valkyrie bags must be made of gold, as much as people sell them for. Maybe some aftermarket hard bags are in the future. I have a set of leather bags that came with the bike but don't like the looks of them.

I just got my seats back. Tell me what you think.

Fantastic! They look really good. -
Thanks guys! It's not perfect...needs some work done. I've ordered a large windshield and lowers (Switchblade). I have to knock off some wind, the RSV has me spoiled after riding behind the fairing.

I'll have it tomorrow morning! I've been without a bike for 3 days.....withdrawals!!

That's why they make Fords and Chevys....er....Hondas and Yamahas.

And a short test ride only gives you a little bit of information about a bike. Kinda like dating a girl, it's only after you're married a while that you discover that you can't put up with some of her b.s. so you get rid of her........or vice versa.

I got the Valk standard...couldn't afford the I/S right now. I'm picking it up tomorrow morning and will post some pics in the arvo. I think that if Honda made an 1800 Interstate a LOT of people would have one!

Because there may be something that I like better out there. I'll never know about it unless I give it a try. How do you know that you like steak if hotdogs are the only thing you eat. I try some other bike, find that I don't like it as well and go back. I don't buy new motorcycles and find that I can buy and sell and usually make, or not lose too much money on the deal. I like to try different motorcycles and maybe one day I'll find one that I like better than the Valkyrie. The Royal Star is a nice bike but I didn't like it better so I got rid of it....simple answer.
