  1. I get all my coffee from Coffee City USA, TX. I buy their Columbian Supremo. It's excellent! I stop at McD's for coffee if I'm on the road as it's much better than it used to be. So many people get hyped up on coffee and they can't sleep; but I find the opposite as it relaxes me and brings me down. Ya...ok, I'm a little strange.
  2. bike
  3. My Avon was a 05 08 as well. If I remember correctly, the tire had less than 1000 miles before it started to crack on the right side only. I also have a center stand and the tire still cracked, so I don't think concrete is the problem. The dealer replaced it; no questions asked. The replacement has been good so far.
  4. Great pic's. Most of the ice huts have been taken off my lake, but lots of people are still out fishing in their lawn chairs in this beautiful winter weather.
  5. Me: 3.5 HP Mini 1972 Yamaha 650 1971 Suzuki TC90 1972 Kawasaki 350 Triple S2 1975 RD 400 1985 Goldwing LTD. Fuel Inj. 1993 Goldwing 1999 Valkyrie Tourer 2006 RSV Midnight Wife: 1993 750 Kawasaki Vulcan 1999 1500 Suzuki Intruder 2006 C90T Suzuki Boulevard
  6. My Valkyrie TOURER vs. my 06 RSV. Valk: Lots of heat pouring off the engine onto your shins Quicker 6 carbs to sync vs 4 RSV much more comfortable, even with my custom seat and backrest on Valk Drinks more fuel No cruise Hate the drone sound of the stock pipes More fun Foot pegs RSV still has enough power for me and now I'm in to riding comfort.
  7. Great looking color scheme! In fact it's nicer looking than my midnight.
  8. Nice looking setup/job, the black needles look great! What is the cover over your gas cap?
  9. My first street bike was when I was 16, a used 1972 Yamaha. When starting, the kick start would kick back at times feeling like you broke your leg or ankle. It would also vibrate so much you'd think it move across the pavement when idling on the kickstand. Never a complaint though, just the sense of freedom, no stress or bills and make just enough money for gas and insurance.
  10. I feel for you. I almost did the same thing a few years ago...buy a bike in Quebec. After I researched the transfer process in Quebec I wasn't going to touch it. From what your buddy says, he's right. What a load of nonsense they put you through; I think was much easier to buy from the states.
  11. I would hope that a commercial would make a difference, but I rather doubt it. People up here have been told months in advance that there would be expensive fines and demerit points for talking or texting on a cell phone; but they still do and they get their fines. Seems to be, people don't really care until they get caught or something should happen. My 2 cents.
  12. He didn't have a computer or calculator back then to figure out how to build it. Just had to use his own imagination, knowledge and skill. Impressive!
  13. For any old guys on this site; Old American Car Brochures for likely any car you've owned. Check out that 1940's model that you once was yours! Interesting. http://www.lov2xlr8.no/broch1.html
  14. Traveling Nova Scotia to Cape Breton is a great road trip. Traveling across from Bar Harbour on the Cat is quite an experience as well. Make sure you take some Gravol if you need it; as there were a lot of people were outside hanging over the back or in the restroom. When we got to the Cabot Trail it was foggy and there we met a few people that were there camping, they said it had been that way for about 2 days and they were still waiting for it to clear up. We couldn't see a thing but road and guard rail. All the people we met and spoke to along the way were so nice and helpful. Can't go wrong traveling there and/or over to P.E.I. I would highly recommend it!
  15. USA played an amazing game against the Canadians! The US showed they were playing for the gold and nothing less and they almost accomplished it. This one will be remembered for a long time on both sides of the border. In the next Olympics, the pro's of the NHL may not be attending if the owners get their way. Too bad.
  16. Congrats! On a bike...whether it's "Dark-side or right-side", it's all the same!
  17. Great engineering and I'm impressed...but then again it doesn't take much! 50,000 GBP = $76,000.00 USD Yikes!
  18. Please be nice to her after we win....no hard feelings. By the way, my condolences to you. I'm so glad that many people everywhere (globally) are interested in hockey; the fastest and most physical, hardest hitting team sport in the world.
  19. My wife and I purchased Q2 Scala, Bike to Bike headsets in Americade last year. I would say they work well for talking to each other, but the built-in FM radio is crap. The signal pickup is weak and is frustrating looking for other stations. We also found that the instructions are not very clearly written. Just my 2 cents.
  20. Are you asking because the black ones are faster?
  21. Root canal...don't go there! I paid 1K to have one molar done and after 6 weeks the tooth was still pounding with either hot or cold temperatures, so I went to a dental specialist. He found that the dentist missed one of the roots, in which he would charge me $1200. to fix it properly. I went back to the dentist which made the excuse that it wasn't her fault she had missed it and informed me that Dentists use a magnifying glass to locate the nerve; the dental specialist uses a microscope. She also said she had done nothing wrong, offered no compensation and it was now my problem. (Too bad I wasn't told this before she had done it.) I then had to pay another 3 hundred to different dental specialist to have it removed. Should have done that in the first place! Never again!
  22. Ok... I think I would likely go all out and wild and put a tat of a mole down by my ankle about the size of this .
  23. 1 Canuck

    Doh

E-Fishin-C LOL! It can happen to the best of us. Still it's a really good lookin' bike.
  24. Looks like something out of a James Bond Movie. What's with the cross hairs?
