  1. So explain to me again why you're glad it's winter? LOL
  2. Same here. Only I couldn't stand watching Jr. beat an axle and a few bolts in with a steel hammer, plus watch him MIG weld with no shield. Looks backyard to me, but then again they must know what they're doing because they sell a lot of bikes. Poor, poor Mikey is likely rich, rich Mikey! Just my 2 cents.
  3. Ken...use the "Force". Buy a RSV: Pull the out tape deck and replace them with gauges Remove the rear wheel assembly and lube the driveshaft splines and pins in rear end Remove the carbs and set the floats and then use your vacuum gauge set to balance Get rid of the stock tires Add supports to the lower crash bars Remove the stock windshield and add a Clearview That's it! Did I say buy a RSV?
  4. Welcome Keith! Just remember....we don't talk about the weather down south during the winter months on this forum. :crackup::crackup:
  5. Hey... enough bragging already! It aint right! You and those Texas fellers got something goin' on here? I haven't seen it higher than -10C and it has been as low as -30C for the month of Jan. Then again you're temps are higher than Texas. Changed my mind...keep bragging, maybe they will get more snow?
  6. If this butcher can strip those bolts, I would have everything checked that he was suppose to have done. If the valve lash is too tight, you will burn the valves. It would also be interesting to see how well the carbs are sync'd, if at all? As stated by someone before, take lots of pic's. Hope everything works out.
  7. Now we're talking like a true Canadian!
  8. I think Charlie was smart?
  9. Helmet cooling, now that would be nice because my head sweats so much. I wonder how many amps this would draw from the bike? The biggest problem, I think I would also have to lose weight to fit another piece of outfit under my jacket. I think my leather jacket shrunk last fall, it's more than tight enough now! Kinda makes you feel like a pig in a blanket.
  10. LOL :rotfl::rotfl:
  11. I think the 5 top states to motorcycle in are Montana, Vermont, Maine, Minnesota and New York. I think the 5 lower states to motorcycle in are Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Florida and Louisiana.
  12. I've never used Dyna Beads nor do plan on using them. But I do want to see the MSDS on the "Mauser's Magic Ballancing Dust", first!
  13. Four wheel motorcycle? Looks more like a modified ATV with street tires and individual fenders.
  14. Ok...I suck at American geography. 84% 44mi Time...forgot to check?
  15. Bring it over to my place and I'll do it for you. Must bring the weather with you.
  16. Sounds like it would make the perfect Christmas/Birthday gift for the mother-in-law?
  17. Don't brag yet, with this freakish crappy weather everywhere, it ain't over yet?
  18. We have 3 older vehicles. 1998 Honda Accord 4cyl from Texas, no rust 1998 Toyota Camry 4cyl from Florida, no rust 1994 Dodge Dakota extended cab, for hauling stuff Nothing fancy, low maintenance, dependable, paid for. Maybe one day I'll take the plunge and move up into the newer 2000 models?
  19. Boomer says....a fella wit a trap like that you save a lot of cash not goin to any dentist
  20. "Direct" or "Uncouth"
  21. Sorry for the loss. It's hard to understand how it feels until it happens to you. We lost our 17 year old dog last year. It grew up with our kids, happy all the time, always keeping someone company in the house. Almost always did as it was told and most times better behaved than the kids.
  22. You a big weenie? Nawwww... most of us up north here would trade our weather for your bad weather in a heart beat.
  23. :crackup::crackup:Good one!
  24. One thing that's worse than living in a place where it gets cold and snow during the winter; is getting unexpected cold and snow where it's suppose to be warm. I guess either way it's all bad?
  25. You're greatly missed already on the VR site. Hope you're not having VR withdrawals yet? Praying for a quick recovery.
