I plan on going Friday through the day. Abdul, looks like we may be there at the same time and it would be great if we and any others going on Friday could connect. Send me a post or just call me at the show when you are there - my cp # is 416 4459 6119. Evan

We had unusually warm weather here in Toronto so I went for a "last day of the year" afternoon run. While it was warm and the roads were dry, there was snow on the ground which made the ride even more interesting. It felt good!

I owned a Pacific Coast before I bought my VR. In my opinion, they are a great sport touring bike for both comfort and dependability. There is a fairly good writeup about the history and features of the Pacific Coast in this web site: http://www.arthurlea.com/PC800.htm Here is a picture of my old Pacific Coast. I don't know what prices are like in your part of the country although for sure they are higher in Canada. In my case, a guy flew in from Hailfax and bought my PC for just under $5000 and it had more miles on it than the one Diane is looking at.

Ya Dave - are you now the owner of an engine missing a sidecover?
-
Same here, and I am located in Toronto. Keeping my fingers crossed for a ride on New Year's day as it will be warm enough to ride but the current forecast is also for rain.

Some nice snow pictures in your posts but the weather sure is crazy - snow where you woulndn't expect it and hardly any in many parts of Ontario where there is normally much more snow.
-
--- right back at you Charlie! Oh, and by the way, Charlie, do you still sled through the winter. Just had the carbs done on my machine and would love sled with you in the new year since we are virtually connected by great trails.

Well said Don, and Merry Christmas to all!

Wonderful sentments Don & Patti. Merry Christmas to all! Evan & Anne

Jack - what a fabulous video. It amazed me how you keep finding stuff of interest to so many of us.
-
Fabulous news! Looking forward to meeting you Annie & Alan and maybe, along with others, showing you a bit of this part of Canada.
-
Rob - I hope that the worst is soon behind you as the new year comes around and it is good to see that members of this forum are offering you some fellowship.

Ken, no doubt you will have more suggestions and offers than you will have time for. Here is another offer. Our cottage property (near Nipissing, Ontario) is about 75 miles NE from McDougal, with some good roads in betwean. Let me know if you are interested in making this a possible stopover.

Don - Hope you don't run into highway closures like we are having here in Ontario on your way back home. Hundreds of vehicles and people have been stranded for days on a major highway just east of Sarnia here in south western Ontario. The good news is how people have opened up their homes to offer food and shelter to those stranded, although many were stuck intheir vehicles for 24 hours or more. Here is one news report: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/windsor/story/2010/12/15/sarnia-road-rescue-snow.html

As we live in a condo in downtown Toronto, we don't have our own lights, but here is what we see when we look out our window and when we go out our back door. The church is St Andrews Cathedral which has the tallest steeple in Canada. We enjoy hearing the bells almost every day and especially at Christmas.

Just keep blowing Charlie. Glad I didn't buy "no snow" insurance for the snowmobile trail pass this year!
