  3. Jack I dont understand the statement you made about having to wrench on your bike too much.As many here know I am a firm believer in the if it aint broke staement. I got my bike in Nov of 04 and it had little over 44k on it and now it has 129k.Yes I had to do 2nd gear and at Vogel this year my U Joint was making noise an dhad to be replaced. But for the milage I put on it in just over 3 years that aint bad, You do what makes you feel good and stick around. I dont think that you will find another bike that has this kind of track record on reliability. Let us know Jeff What ya gonna do with the scoots you have now?
  4. Buddy I installed the cb in Clays 83 and had already done one in my 83 Royale. The easiest way to get it working is to use the yellow wire from the cb harness to a switch that goes to ground (ptt). I would suggest that you get Clay18 to let you know Which wires I connected to power the unit. or do what I did on my 83 I cut all of the audio wires out of the 86 doner bike now I have an extra audio harness on my bike I did not use any of the original wires to connect the system and mine works just like it did on the 86 I removed it from.I also hooked the PTT wire to the radio scan button on the remote. If you do this all you will need to know is the 2 red wires on the original harness should be jumped to the add on harness for power and the PTT wire to ground and you will have a working system. If you need more info let us know and we will do what we can. Jeff

  11. Kozman Do yourself a favor and do not change the oil type until you get at least 9000 miles on the bike so that the motor has a chance to properly break in. I know some of the members here will jump on this but take it from a guy that builds high performance motors the mobil 1 will not let the motor wear in the rings properly. Let the arguments begin. Jeff
