  3. This is not the only error by far in the manual. One I hadn't noticed before though. Gary
  4. Attached is a graph from the service manual showing timing & combustion sequencing. Gary
  5. FYI. The front and rear bank are offset by the width of a connecting rod, from right to left, about an inch. This is due to the pistons on each side share a common journal on the crank. Gary
  6. Also, there is a balance shaft in front of the crankshaft that smooths the motor out. Left shaft in attached picture. Gary
  7. OH, he picked me!!! He picked me!!! Gary
  8. User CP on the main menu on left of screen Edit your details on left menu Then top block in screen center, Email & password Email option at bottom of this screen Gary
  9. Here is # from parts fiche. Item # 17 26H-26473-00-00 Gary
  10. I'm sure I have an extra one if you want a used one. Gary
  11. Maybe not, the starter clutch mod'ed rotor you are doing for me now may go on Tweety. It has given me that ready to die sound a few times. The higher compression motor isn't doing the stock starter clutch any favors. This rotor is a quad pickup version. For the RSV hybrid, I want to get a single pick-up rotor and pickup coil for this motor. With the Ignitech TCI, it will be an easy change to go from the quad to a single pickup. Wiring harness on RSV frame is setup for a single pickup. I will probably have you do that on if I can find one. The guy you PM'ed me about, Morley, has helped me out a lot with VMax parts and probably has the parts. I have watched for months now & not seen one on ebay at a decent price. There is a rotor on there, but price is high, no pickups though for a 1st gen Venture/VMax motor though. Gary
  12. Well, you can miss it if you don't have an RSV . BKuhr (Brian) has been working on a way to get a TPS on a 1st gen. Want to try it with the Ignitech TCI's in place of the Vacuum boost. The TCI was designed for motors with a TPS. Gary
  13. OK, found it in service manual, it is on carb rack. The one place I had hoped it wouldn't be. Anyone got a good picture of it. BKuhr and myself would be very interested in how this is set up. Gary
  14. RSV wiring diagrams show a throttle position sensor. Where is this sensor located. In the throttle hand grip, cable junction box or the carb rack seem like likely places. Gary
  15. I am home, took about 4hrs 15 min coming back. Got to see Bob's remodeling job. Adding a room to his home. Thank You Wrenchrob, Wizard765, MarCarl & BongoBobny. for selling & moving these parts to me. I got stuff I don't even know where it goes. For you RSV purists out there, you ain't gonna like what I am gonna do to this. I don't even know for sure what it is going to end up looking like. The pictures attached are a good start to a hybrid 1st/2nd gen RSV with VMax DNA sprinkled in. It will be different & quick. Gary
  16. Look at Best Buy hardware if you have one near you. My local one has an extreme amount of fasteners. One rack is all chrome ones. I could check for you next week if you want. Gary
  17. I still have you down as a V88 unit. Vboost will work with the stock controller as always on the bike. This is set to open at about 5800 RPM's and cannot be changed easily other than with a tboost switch which the has a 3000rpm setting. You can use a V80 though. The V88 ignitech can be set up to have full control over the vboost including RPM & rate of opening over an RPM spread. Does not have to be used though. This is not set up to work with the way I supply TCI. I will talk you through hooking it up if you want. You would have to have cable to hookup TCI to a computer to reconfigure program settings. If you want call me and I can go over this if you want. I am going to Bongobob's in NY tomorrow, so I won't be home till Sunday. I will PM phone #'s Gary
  18. In one of my numerous emails back and forth with Ignitech this week, they asked me if I would want this order to be what is called the V80 version. The V80 version was trouble free. The V88's did have a glitch that has been mostly resolved with a program change. I am getting V80 units for the Ventures this time, unless some one tells me that they specifically want a V88. The V88 units are more appealing to the VMax guys due to dual shift lights and ability to run the vboost unit. If this changes anyone's mind let me know. Gary
  19. If you want, I will loan you my Ignitech unit from Tweety. It will be a direct plug in. I will send vacuum sensor with it, one on bike not used. Vacuum on bike does not need to be disabled. I also have an extra set of pickup coils. And I can send a new 6 pin connector to replace the pickup coil connection on left rear by air damper. This has solved some problems on other bikes. If you like it, you can buy it. I have a couple of extras coming with current group buy. Gary
  20. Anyone else interested ??? I am going to get these ordered this weekend. Picture is what you get. Gary http://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/af193/gdingy101/IMG_0803.jpg
  21. I thought you were Dutch? It seems more like you phoned ahead and told them you were coming. They got some shiny scrap metal and told you they were rare artifacts. Gary
