New Avons, have questions.

My brother just had a set of Avons mounted on his Honda VTX1300 and the rear took a massive amount of weight (don't recall amount) on both sides of the rim.....he contacted the Avon rep and they are sending him a new tire. Said it was not normal.....kinda makes ya wonder! I have had no problems with mine. Keith -

I was about to put this old ironing board in the trash when the light came on ! Works perfect for an adjustable height work table. easy to move around and store. Oh ya I did replace the one in the house.... Keith

I've been looking at the Zumo 660 but I don't really need it till next summer, so I have been lurking around some forums to get as much info as I can on it. Have a look at this site if a Zumo is in your future Keith www.zumoforums.com

Larry Maybe consider Mic Mutes. I have them and wouldn't have a bike with out them. That's if the noise you are getting is thru your mic. Keith http://mic-mutes.com/

I have used Scrubbing Bubbles several times with no problem. I did notice that the regular type has been replaced on the store shelves with the "with bleach" type. I would avoid using that one. I'm not sure if they are both available or not? Keith

Great looking bike.....gotta love that Black..... My brother just had a set of Avon's installed on his Honda VTX1300 and in order to get a front from Avon they recommended a tire and that it be installed in reverse...... Enjoy the ride !! Keith

I torque most everything when working on the bike.....except the oil drain plug...tried that once and didn't like the way it felt. I always torque in stages....eg....50ft/lbs....start at 10ft/lbs and them gradual till I get to 50ft/lbs. Keith

We went on our annual Iceburg hunt today!. Came across these....the big one was approx 10 miles away and they say its close to 3000ft ft long...I'd say that one will be there all summer! Keith
