  1. Could you ellaborate a little more of the differences in the ride with the Works shock compared to the OEM? I don't have any issues yet but am always looking for a good upgrade. Thanks...
  2. Thanks for the link to the electrical connector website!
  3. I just found out the Michelin's had been discontinued as well. And just when I needed a new back tire after over 13,000 trouble-free miles on my existing Commander too! My buddy has more than 15,000 on his Avon's and still going so I'm waiting on mine to come in this week.
  4. Is this for the 2005 up RSTD's? I can't offer a panel but would be interested in the end product!
  5. Doesn't show when the hitch is removed. No clearance problems. I pulled a trailer 4,200 miles in July with it with no problems. Highly Recommended.
  6. I have the exact same problem. I have a super dealer here in Tulsa (K&N Yamaha). They are excellent people. I had mine in for a check over and had the carbs synced and EGR done. The bike wasn't out of adjustment by much. I asked them about the difference and they said they didn't pay much attention to the carbon build up on mufflers. I know my carbs are in sync and the carbs mixture is correct via the EGR test. I'm not going to worry about it but it is weird.
  7. You can always spot your friends can't you? I'm trying to locate the Yammy Ball Milled Water pump cover. No luck for me either.
  8. I am looking for the Ball Milled Water Pump Cover STR-4NK27-41-02 for my 07 RSTD. I can't seem to find one at any online dealer. Dear Mama Yama isn't making them now. If you have one you would be willing to sell or have seen one at a dealer please let me know. Thanks...
  9. I forwarded this information to a friend who has had all three types of clutch baskets installed with only a small improvement. I don't really have that bad of a whine, but both of us have a 10oz. bottle on order.
  10. You mean the same Yamaha that still puts cassette decks in Ventures?
  11. I can't say enough good things about my Michellin Commanders. I have around 8,000 miles on my set so far and they are wearing very well. I went to them after my OEMs wore out. Excellent handling improvement and outstanding control in the rain.
  12. Be extra careful for about the first 30 miles or so. If your dealer neglected to warn you, the factory uses a release agent to allow the tire to be removed from the mold easily. The residue is slippery and take 30 miles or so to wear off the tire. Be careful in the curves the first 30.
  13. I don't think you meant (at least I hope) to be condescending. I understand the science behind radiators, fans and thermostats. I work in the electric power industry and work with extra high voltage transformers (345,000 volts)that carry hundreds of megawatts of power. These transformers have a very complex system of pumps, radiotors, and fans that are also thermostatically controlled. Even as well cooled as they are the ambient temperature does make a difference and the units will run hotter as the ambient reaches a high enough point. Motorcycles have the added benefit of the wind chill effect but even that looses its effectiveness in temps of 100 degrees. We get that alot where I live. Next time I'll not just make a quick comment but go into more detail for your benefit.
