:stirthepot::stirthepot:If you wanted to go any slower, just buy ANOTHER 2nd Gen! ! !:stirthepot: :rasberry::rasberry:Don't pick on the 1st Gens. We look better than you (unless you like the look of HD) and move faster than you can!:rasberry:

If you are set on the HJC AC-3, I picked up both of mine off e-Bay for about $75 each. They normally have all colors and sizes available.

I'm looking for the brackets, or more appropriately the part#, that secure the front of the touring pack. There are two of them, one is 'S' or zig-zag shaped, and the second is an 'L' bracket. I've looked on Yamaha's and a few other web sites for the part#, but cannot locate the appropriate part. Before someone says that I can simply manufacture some out of material from Lowe's or such, I don't have a work shop to do this work at.

Sorry to be a doubting thomas here, but I just don't see this one happening in real life. Even if he had been, spitting his teeth at her (accidental or otherwise) does not constitute the use of deadly force. I would hate to be in her shoes at the moment.

I had a set of Scorpion Exo last year and wore them to Florida, then back to Vogel. As soon as I returned to Ohio, they went in the garage, then finally a garage sale. I did not care for them because they did not fit my head quite right. It felt like a metal bar going across my forhead and after about 30 minutes or so, hurt to high heaven. Just my input on them. Some have told me they swear by them.

As I remember it, they had to move 4 2nd Gens to get my 1st Gen up for brake work. I had no doubt I could make it home. I just wanted to be able to stop once I got there. :rasberry::rasberry::rasberry::rasberry::rasberry::rasberry::rasberry:

I have had two HP that were decent, and where I worked used to have Toshiba's. I currently own a Dell (over 2 years) and love it. I picked it up on e-bay for about half the price any of the stores were selling it for. An added advantage on Dell, is that you can still order them with Windows XP loaded on them, provided you like XP.

Several folks asked me about the flag pole I had on the back of Blue Belle this weekend at Don's Maintenance Day. Here is the connection on e-bay for all that asked. I am not even going to try to remember who all asked me about it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHROMED-ALUMINUM-FLAG-holder-POLE-for-Motorcycles_W0QQitemZ300229722787QQihZ020QQcategoryZ84147QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247 I have the TERMINAL case of CRS (Can't Remember Squat). It is terminal, because the wife used to tell me she would kill me if I ever forgot her birthday or anniversary.

We just got home from a wonderfull weekend. Thank you to the Nelson's for opening up their home to everyone and especially for putting up with the 'Pond Critters'. Good times, great food, and even better people. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictues of the group, just a few out at the light house. For those that made it, it was great seeing everyone. For those that couldn't make it, hope to see you next year.

I have reservations at the Oberlin Inn and will be heading back Sunday as well. If you want company either direction, let me know. (Cell# 937-271-3937) Either way, we'll see you there.

From Indy, how will you be coming over? I live in Dayton, OH and will be leaving Saturday morning and heading to Don's. Let me know if you want to hook up.

I have my 1st get manual (86 - 93) in hard copy. I can bring it with me. My interest; is it possible to swap out the front rotors. My hand brake is a bit spongy. I picked up a set on e-bay and will bring some brake fluid as well. Anything else that may be needed?

:thumbsup2:How about Sherriff Joe for President. I think he could take care of our 'illegal' problem by putting them to work for the U.S. Think of what he could do for New York City and their U.N. problem (limos and such parked illegally). I'de vote for him.

I use a junction box cover and a couple of electrical contacts crimped on either end of a string and an 'S' hook. I keep it in the left leather pouch on the fairing.

I wonder if they have a nice Mustang convertible to add to my 'car' collection? Wouldn't hurt to add a Taurus or S&W to the gun collection either. Two hobbies, one stop; how convenient!

I signed over the title to Big Red this afternoon to a gentleman in the local Dayton area. In the process, I also gave him a VentureRiders card and asked him to sign on and introduce himself. Also told him about Maintenance Day next month. Hopefully, the sales has brought us another member.

To answer Squidley's question, I believe a picture is worth more than words. Here ya are squidley, an 'answer' to your question.

Thanks to Rocket, I have resized some more pictures and put them in the classified ad.

I bought a Blue 88 VR last year and have been trying to park both inside the small garage at my apartment. Cramped to say the least. With the weather getting better, the Mustang has been sitting outside and both bikes sitting in the carport. I've been riding one each week. Thanks for the link Rocket. I'll get some of my recent photos of the bike on the posting.

Didn't want to do it, but I just dont have the room for two bikes, a car, a truck, and a trailer. So I posted 'Big Red' in the classifieds here and on Craig's List for the Dayton, OH section. There used to be a link to a program that would allow us to resize pictures for uploading, but I cannot find it. I would like to include some more recent pictures of the bike, but they are too large to upload. Does anyone have the link handy? Thanks.

The first was to a deputy sheriff and it lasted 14 years. I retired from the Navy and came home to someone trying to dictate what the rest of my life was going to be like and accusing me of cheating with everyone she knew. The second was for 7 years. We split, but are still spending time with each other on the weekends. I don't think there will be a #3.

But the 1st Gen's are the best! :rasberry::rasberry::rasberry::rasberry: They are also the fastest!

What day are you riding up? And will you be passing through Dayton? I'll be leaving Dayton early Saturday morning and heading up myself. Hope to see ya there.
